Well, Ive always thought, chi and psi and all the other ones are the same, just named differently.
It might be true that martial power is stronger than anything you can do with psi, however, I think psi can be a lot handier. ;D
Also, Im not sure if the person in the article is saying that psi doesn't really exist, or if he's just saying that knowing certain physical things about the body is better than being good with psi.

Actually they are talking about radki here. ( And sorry. I know I am talking about ki in a Psi forum and JK wouldn't like it) When making a ki ball this guy said "What is most likely happening is that you are learning how to direct your focus/attention/yi to your hands. This causes an increase in bloodflow to the area and the hands feel different than normal. " And this "Is there some actual ball of energy (whatever that means) bewteen your palms, probably not. And this "However, most of you who keep wanting the 'chi-balls' to be real are looking for some mystical martial power that you think 1) your teacher has 2) you've seen on Saturday morning Kung-Fu theater or 3) seen on dragonball-z.
You are mistaken, plain and simple. The martial power that you are looking for has its basis in Internal Martial Arts like Xingyiquan, BaguaZhang and Taijiquan. Masters of these arts can do things to you that will seem like they have a mystical martial power that you are looking for, when in reality they have the following:
1) They have placed 'gong' into their body. This means that they have conditioned their muscle, tendons and sinews using their respective system's gong building methods.
2) They have learned to move in a connected/whole-body/internal fashion. Chi-balls are stupid compared to this kind of movement.
3) They practice this stuff regularly, instead of writing about it on a message board.
So you feel a little heat, pressure, tingling between your palms? So what? It means little or nothing in the context of martial power." So that kinda makes that psi could be like that too. Since I am not that knowledge in those areas I don't know whot to think of.

The part about more blood going to the point where you want to feel psi seems reasonable, however... The pressure (and last time heat too) I feel when making a psiball is not explained by that. I can't flare yet, but there are people who can and that's proof there's something that has nothing to do with blood or whatever. Also, martial power might be stronger, but Im learning psi to help myself and not to battle other. maybe self-defence but I mostly make sure not to get into a fight. Also, I still beleive psi, ki, chi, whatever is the same thing with a different nametag.

That article is written for radki or radical ki just so you know. Radki is base off of DBZ mostly. But not entirely. I was just wondering if goes for psi too.

Actually the only way I know that I'm actually using energy is the air around where I am focusing it. The air around gets really warm or cold and people can feel it, sometimes up to a couple of feet, depending upon what I am doing. It can be pretty startling ^_^"
It could possibly go with psi. Though it's easier for me to see energy, all those dots going around and such. Of course, I'm no good with remote viewing, so don't ask me to go see if you are preforming a psi ball or not peeps.
And I've never heard of radki. Though I'd never use it for fighting because psi/energy manipulation like that would never work >.> that's for the radicals and younglings to believe.

Yea if you ask me, Psi, chi, ki are all the same things. Psi is playing with energy, Chi is more often used for healing, but still the same thing as psi. Ki in my opiniun is psi, but meant for Attacking, (note: DO NOT use psi to attack someone, It can seriously hurt them!!!), but Ki is also the same thing as psi. ;D

Actually in my opinion. Chi, Psi and Ki are different things
Chi/Ki - Physical Energy
Psi - Mental Energy
They are both the same but different, there foils of eachother.

Ah, I see. I just assumed they were the same thing, because you do the same stuff. e.g. Make a psibal, program it to heal your head ache. Make a chi ball, program it to Heal your head ache. seems like its just another name for it

The only differences are minor. For most people it doesn't really matter. Chi and ki tend to keep the energy more within the body.Psi is more menatl and involves tp am and a few other skills. BTW Ki is NOT better for combat. In my experience psi is better for fighting due to its more mental skills(tp, em etc.)
