Position of Hands?

Hey I have a question, should i put my palm out and focus making the ball in one hand or should i hold then out and parallel to each other like
| |, or is it just preference or is one way better?

You can do it with ONE hand if you wanted. I usually have my hands kinda like ( ), like they are forming around a baseball. But that's just me. You can try many different ways, and you can even do it with no hands! I think people just use hands to help them focus on it, instead of making it scatter out, why'know? So, just experiment, and whichever way you like best, use that way. Also, there is no BEST way.

Try doing it with no hands. This way is much better (I think) because if you ever need to do anything discreetly, you can, instead of using your hands.

I cup my hands. I think it helps trap the energy inside.

ignore the bad drawing, but I turn one hand 90 degrees one way, and it works...worked for me. Untill my hands just died.

ohhhh ok hmm i'll try that...though i did btw manage to make a psi ball today with my hands out like holding a basketball. Thanks all! it took me a while but I did it!

Yeah that's the same position I have my hands. But do any of you have this problem when you make a psi-ball and when you are done you found out the your hands were closer cupped then when you began?

Yeah, I've had that. But mostly, they just get pulled and pushed inward and outward (kinda pulsating).

No I think I felt more when the hands are further apart then when they are closer together.

Dan's way seems good to me. For creating psi balls, I picture the energy gathering much in the way Sub-Zero(yes, Mortal Kombat) does his freezing ice-gathering thing, but holding the hands in front of him, with the bottom hand just above bellybutton level, rather than a Kamehameha-type stance.

I use mainly Dans method, although I sometimes use Liz'z or one hand.

Vornakos would quickly tell you not to use hands. They make you dependable on them to make anything. I use my hands like most of you with the size of a dodgeball. I only do them with hands cause otherwise i can't feel the psi-ball. and since i can't do anything with it, i want to at least feel it.

Correct. I only realized this after I had done a few... Rather potent shields. At that point, it became nearly impossible to manipulate energy near myself, so I was working ten or more feet away from myself so that my constructs would not instantly vaporise.

Working with only your mind will allow quite a few possibilites, like teaching people by making constructs directly within their reach.

(To this day, I still have problems making any form of construct within eight feet of myself, and thus I only ever use my mind.)

I do not always use my hands, I only use them when I feel like having fun with a basic psi ball, feeling that pushing and pulling, hot or cold. But no one can tell you that the way you position hands is wrong if it feels natural to you.
