Someone Please help interprute this with me?

[When i was 14 year's old i had went hunting with my Step-Father in Maine, unsure of what part but it was in Maine, when we arrvied at the huntting grounds it stopped snowing, a hour or so later me and him went out to go hunt i was onyl watching, but about 30minutes into it it began to snow AGAIN but this time it was extremly heavy, i soon lost my path and lost site of my step-father after freaking out i passed out in the snow aganist a tree, im not sure how long i was passed out but when i woke up my body felt extremly warm i opend my eye's and my head was resting on a White Wolf with another one covering my feet and 2 more 1 on the left side of me and right side, i tryed to get up and move but when i did the wolf my head was on bit the back of my shirt and pulled me back down on its stomach, i woke up for the second time and my step-father was standing above me with 2 other hunter's, i told him what had happend he didint believe me, untill he felt my skin (i was showing no sign of cold) and saw the bite marks back of my shirt, after we went back to the camp ground we started to pack our stuff and leave before we got in the car it stopped snowing again and i looked behind me at the 4 white wolve's were standing on a cut down tree and in'sync they looked at us and began to howl, i then realized that my step-father could not move 4 of his fingers on his left hand, he told me he had frost bite from the heavy snow

can someone please help me with this
why did this happen?
did the wolve's save my life?
what does it mean?
is there anything symbolic behind this?

Well I always had a thing with Wolves. My favorite animal and past experiences kind of like this.
It could be many reasons, they didnt find you to be harmful and helped you.
You were on there territory and decided to help you.
You were not suppose to die.
They werent wolves but somthing else.

if they wereint wolve's what could they have been?

Hmm... Maybe a Spirit Guide in animal form.

Im do not know much about Spirit Guides to say for certain, but Im sure there could be animal Spirit Guides..Right?
