Hello! It's nice to meet you, call me Draiff.
Permit me to begin by stating that I am still in a state of shock. All my life I have wanted these abilities, this WORLD to exist. However, parents and society had me believing that this reality is impossible. Not that they were trying to beat me down or anything, they have just been brought up in the same world I have, its only natural. Despite all this I never became fully skeptical that these talents could exist.
I didn't know it but my journey as a psion began my freshmen year of High School thanks to a good friend who I studied martial arts with (casually
) One day he taught me a lesson I would never forget, he taught me about Chi and from that he taught me how to meditate, he taught me very, very well. During meditation I would focus on my Chi and eventually I discovered that I could move it around within my body and I could use it to give me more energy or feel warmer or cooler (starting to sound familiar? )
One day another friend say me meditating and he said, "You know, my dad had an "out of body experience" when he was a kid and he told me exactly how he did it." I had always thought about whether this was real so I gave it a shot and even though I did not perform Astral Projection it was an incredible experience (and still is every time I try) and it is one I will elaborate on in the "Astral Projection" section of the forum.
Now my story has arrived to January 5th 2007. That night (now I know thats not the best time to attempt Astral Projection) I made an attempt at the experience once again and once again I didn't reach my goal. The next day I decided that I REALLY wanted to have this experience (keep in mind I didn't know it was even possible yet) so I did some searches on the net and found it to be real and then I found links to Psionics and long story short I ended up on this site!
I was ecstatic! I couldn't believe it, this was ACTUALLY real not only that there were thousands of people that could do it. Then I got to thinking how impossible it would be for me to even fathom learning things like this, especially the thing that created my desire for these abilities: telekinesis. So next I read every single beginner's article I could find which led me to discover... I knew about Psi all along! Psi was Chi and I could already feel it and manipulate it! So once again i was so excited and shocked. Then I got to reading about Psi balls and I am not bragging at all here (I have NO ego) but I made one on my very first try
Then I thought "No way, it can't be that easy" Then my hands got very hot and they started to HURT. Plus I could make a Psi ball in once spot take my hands away and I could still feel it in the same spot, a hot, tingly feeling that is. So then I thought, "Okay I guess I really can do this." (more excitement)
I believe the reason I was able to create a Psi ball my first try was because I wasn't new to Psionics like I thought, I had been feeling and manipulating energy within myself for two years Now if you are thinking "Well this guy is a jerk he was able to make his first Psi ball in a few seconds, it took me a week!" Well let me assure that things stopped coming natural right after that Psiball I found so far they are very weak in that if I make a "hot" psiball it comes out as kinda, slightly, barely noticeably warmer spot that I think is a ball And as of right now I don't think I have any sort of natural skill like empathy or precognition or telepathy. The only one that might be a maybe is Remote Sensing and I haven't tried PK yet (but I plan to VERY soon, I'm rather excited about it) Anywho I'm just rambling now.
Finally I would like to thank Karen and every last one of you! Reading the forums gave such a human quality to all this stuff I never thought existed. Simply put I can't tell you how happy you have made me and even though my first Psi ball might have been a cake walk no I realize that these talents are going to be very difficult to learn and master and I am SO grateful this site and all you will be around to help the Psion I always hoped I could be.
