Hey, someone told me that phasing is very painful and it would be stupid to try and learn it. Is it true that phasing is painful?

I have never done phasing or have never known (personally) anyone to do it. It appears that it's very hard. but i guess it all comes down to what you believe in, or how good you are. Although i think that going through a wall isn't going to be very pleasant, do you?

Although I have never done it myself, I think it's one of those things if you do correctly you shouldn't feeling anything.

I agree with JediKaren. If you do it correctly, you shouldn't feel anything. But when you think about it. Phasing would require so much focus and precision that it would be nearly impossible to do it without feeling any pain. I have never seen phasing done, I've only heard about it on PsiPog from Rainsong.
Why do you ask? You're thinking about trying it?

Hey, someone told me that phasing is very painful and it would be stupid to try and learn it. Is it true that phasing is painful? Its not painful, Phasing is pretty simple and easy, it takes some work and some training of the mind for concentration, feeling, seeing, and hearing (or in my case, telepathy) (clairaudience, clair sentience). In actuality, it is not unlike 'day dreaming'> I will speak to a friend about it, as I have not done it very much (but am fairly descent at it) and see if I cant compose a basic how to guide. Although I have never done it myself, I think it's one of those things if you do correctly you shouldn't feeling anything. That is correct, after a while you start to lose touch and feeling with your body and forget where you are/about your body. I can propose a technique or an idea to try and concentrate/split consciousness. Rub your belly and pat your head. Dont know if this will work, the thought came to me earlier when I was thinking about my many bodily talents ;D (also include wiggeling of the ears, waving of the stomach, and doing lots of flexibility with double joints) I agree with JediKaren. If you do it correctly, you shouldn't feel anything. But when you think about it. Phasing would require so much focus and precision that it would be nearly impossible to do it without feeling any pain. I have never seen phasing done, I've only heard about it on PsiPog from Rainsong. Fortunately, I dont feel pain... at least in dreams, obes and have a high pain tolerance in real life. Phasing is quite fun though and relaxing for the body Besides the rub belly pat head thingy, try simply feeling and 'being' objects around you, wether it be a person, emotion, or an apple. Put yourself in their shoes so to speak, literally. Its not so difficult if done correctly and the right know how

What are you talking about? You make it seem like phasing is just "one of those psionic skills". You've actually done it before and you've felt relaxed? If that's the case then that's impressive, considering how quickly atomic & subatomic particles move and how frequently they collide. If you're able to accomplish phasing without worrying about the collision then I'm impressed.

Phasing is a very advance and possibly dangerous skill. I would not recommend this to any newbie no matter how talented.

I was interested in phasing so much (when i started) that I tried it for like 6-8 months. I was not stupid so i did not try to phase myself but a pencil. I did all these different techniques that I had read about and I meditated (one of the only times i ever had) and I consintrated really hard. Not stressfully hard but so hard that if you called my name, i probably would not hear it. Anyway, after 3 weeks of doing this, I finally got a result. I was trying to phase a pencil through a desk. Instead, I phased the lead (inside the pencil) through the pencil. I had a worthless pencil and a long strand of lead. That is when I decided to stop. (and the painfully big headache i had the next day). I thought "What if i try to phase and my organs come out?" yeah, so i stopped that and started on other skills.

Ah, I see where the confusion is here. The phasing I speak of is a form of astral projection Sorry about the confusion

Ah, I see where the confusion is here. The phasing I speak of is a form of astral projection Sorry about the confusion No phasing is not a form of astral projection. Astral projecting is projecting one's astral body out of one's alive body to the astral plane. Phasing, from what I have read, is controlling matter so that you make the atoms of the lead to pass through the atoms of the wood in the pencil. This requires skills such as advance remote viewing and telekinesis.

In either case here are some links [you]QUOTE[/you]: sphynxcatvp.nocturna.org/about/lex-psi.htmlPHASING
Similar to astral projection, only you do not totally leave your body - only part of you does. You can send that part of you elsewhere so you can be aware of the surroundings of wherever you sent that small part of your awareness. Source: Aneria Romana's Psi-vampire page
Another term for time manipulation (see below). Source: Semi-common usage (I dont care much for this particular link)> www.astralpulse.com/forums/archive.php/o_t__t_5685__phasing-methods.htmlSo it seems there is a form of astral projection called phasing and that there is an ability of some sort which involves : Phasing, from what I have read, is controlling matter so that you make the atoms of the lead to pass through the atoms of the wood in the pencil. This requires skills such as advance remote viewing and telekinesis.

The phasing term in the astral projection bit sounds like bi-location to me *shrugs shoulders*
