has anyone ever encounterd another psionic that can cancel out your abilities, almost as if they're blocking or feeding off of your energy? are there natural forces in the world that can block psi energy? if so, what is a good technique to unblock or restore your lost energies?

yeah..my bf is a bit of a vamp. I don't mind. I have a ton of energy and emotions so he calms me down.

No..that's just from lack of control. Learn to gather and ground energy at will and the heat will go away.

the heat turns into energy once it gets to me. Does it travel to me in this form since hot air moves faster then cold air, or is this irrelavent to the point?

you could have latent pyrokinetic abilities. from what i understand, a large part of pyrokinesis is the manipulation of heat.

psi-vamps do drain energy, most of the time uncociously
Shields block energy
Some natural energies block energy
And I don't think its from a lack of controll, that you gather heat. I in fact, do not think that you gather heat from objects. Instead, that is how your body interprets the energy. Most people feel tingling, rushing or something along those lines, you just feel it as heat.
Think about it.
