The first time I remember doing this I was a bout 12. I was a gymnast, and knew some Judo my dad had taught me. Being a tomboy, the guys loved to taunt me to wrestle, and I was incredibly strong, especially my legs.
One of the girls hated me and would spar with me to try and overpower me...of course I was not anywhere near as rough with her as the guys, and she would try and punch me and I'd easily block her blows.
One day I laid on the grass, and let her try and punch through by setting on my stomach, giving her the advantage....she tried and tried vainly, and got madder and madder....I watched her progressive frustration, anger and rage build, and looked deeply into her eyes and tried with all my visceral energy to understand her anger...
For a tiny but very distinct second, we switched places. It was interesting to me, but very puzzling and scary to her....
She jumped off me and started yelling..."witch, witch, witch", and ran home...she never engaged me again.
I was sad it scared her, because I'd love to have compared notes

interesting. When I scan, most people don't know that I'm doing it. But most aren't very skilled newbies. Some people have described the feeling as a pressure in their head. Anyway I'm truely sorry that had to happen to you.

I always feel the other person has awareness of the scan...and they are participating too.....maybe I just am not doing it unless they are too....either that, or I just think more people do it than really do...oh well, I guess it doesn't matter...in the past 2 days, 2 separate people I never met previously have participated with me in scanning, or at least I think that's what happened....and the first person is related to a young woman that I mutually scanned one day too

That thing happening to me when I was pretty young actually helped me recognize that people had fear. I had no idea anyone but me was afraid. I wonder if she had the same experience, and if so, did it manifest into anything down the road? Scanning makes me intensely interested in the other person

Maybe I should see if the people are more aware than I think. I remember when it first dawned on me that everyone has a first point of view. I know that sounds dumb, but I never thought about it.
Have you noticed how there seems to be certain patterns of what people are like?

I don't feel that people are unaware. Some don't put much stock in anything but the physical. Also they might have a totally different psychic structure than me. The most important thing to me is how I treat other people both inside and outside. If I'm not careful, I can create problems.

yeah. I've always considered scanning a form an attack, so I don't scan people (at least not consciously) without them asking or knowing. And I refuse to go deep until they said they wanted me to. I'm worried that I'll come across something private.

i only learn how to scan a few days ago.. but it seems felt so easy for me. my first try and i could see my friend and his shield, and i walked up to it and i could feel the shield, i remember it being cold and fuzzy, and he said i was right. like most other things, iv been sorta scanning for a while.
when i was a kid, i would look at someone and think to myself, i wonder what the are thinking and try and be them for that split second. *shrugs* maybe that is how it started, but i do know that i have been scanning my mate's a long time befor i even knew about it. i supose its why im some one you can talk to. i can just somehow understand what they are trying to get across with out saying that they mean. but now i know why, and how. and look out world, lonewolf's in town. ^_^

Interesting, i dont how it is for peopel to be scanned by me, its not somehting i consciously do very often, i ahrdly do unless i get asked to, i can feel when others scan me though, i dont no how rough/gentle they are but i no it hurts me in my temples.  |

yeah, i also notice when people are scanning me, depending on my emotional state. but when i scan i dig really deep, into there mind. and pull out things they really wont to get of there chest etc. but i can look at someones picture and give you a general description on that person, like how they are feeling etc.. its neat, but a pain sometimes. its hard to controll scanning, as my mind never stop thinking or doing anything. sometimes it dose it automaticly, and i just have to sit there and read the person. what i find really odd, is when i do read people. sometimes an arch angel, will come down and speak to that person though me. or they talk to me, and i then say it back to the person. hehe, done it a few times to you peeps too  your friend lonewolf |

I don't actually like people scanning me as I feel it's a invasion of privacy so can understand the poor girls frustration. I don't feel the need to do that to anyone but each to their own. Just a warning don't do it to me because it just makes me very hostile towards you:-)

I feel worried about the need to scan each other here....so I will now terminate my membership goodbye and good luck but I really don't want any part of that leave it to the psychic vampires.....and I feel I have found a psy vamp trap here....bye

No one here scans to harm. I've also made it a rule that no mod is to scan newbies on purpose unless they get permission from the scanner. LoneWolf and I talked about it and that's when I made the rule. (sorry other mods, I forgot to tell you).

ahh ha.. *sratches head*... pisvamp trap here? not to go beating around the bushes or anything, but umm ok.. like lets take this as an egsample. your saying its a trap, umm well lets put forward that idea, for arguments sake. now lets say i was a psivamp, and i scanned everyone in this forum. i havne picked my target and i chose someone knew who couldnt defend themself, as a "real" psi-vamp would do. now i know my target i have the energy sig, gained from the nickname you used and what ever the psi-vamp dose, can and will do.
so, by saying this forum is a trap, well hello?? then so is EVERY forum or even the net?? wow wouldnt you know. a "real" psi-vamp could look at ANY website, forum or otherwise and do the exact same thing, picking on this forum is in other words, a little lame..
I dont think Karen nor I, are the kinds of people who would do such things, no make people feel welcome to do so. i would fall on anyone like a tun of bricks if i catch them, regardless of anything.
In fact right now, im working in my own time in my school for a way of protection, for the children. coz being a wolf warrior, and a master its my job to look after all my students, and guard the temples. and the one thing that makes me cry is seeing an incent get hurtm though means f psychic attack, or physical abuse.
i stand by what i say, and thats that.
