(I'm not new i just decided to make an account now but then i frogot about it but now im into Psi again)
Make your dolphin quite intelligent (Not enough to overcome it's master).
Get it to draw it's energy from the clouds or a source of nearby water when it gets low.
Teach it lots of tricks!
Teach it to feed you Psi when you need some like when a shield is loosing it's power the PsiPet can feed energy into the shield to Recharge it.
