Shield flaring

There wouldn't be enough energy to keep it flared, unless you programmed it to stay flared no matter what it is altered by. But flaring shields takes a tremendous amount of energy, and it took me a while to even get a little vision of it. It's incredibly hard, and took me a looonnggg time to do it. But, try flaring psi balls over and over again, I guess that could be kinda like what it's like to flare a shield.

you ca use aura sight to view shields psiballs and other constructs

That doesn't mean it is flared. It is flared if anyone can see it without aura vision. It must emit light for it to be considered as flaring.
