Zero and I were having an arguement over if the word "psi" should be capitalized because it's considered a proper noun.
I say no because there are over 50 sites that say no. What do you all think?

I don't think so. My English teachers beat us with all of those rules of capitalization, commas, semicolons, and all of the little stuff. It probably wouldn't make sense if it were capitalized.

no, only in some cases you could probably capitalise it, but it would make a difference

Well psi is a noun and should be lowercased. It is not a name of someone, or a place. Unless you name your son/daughter "Psi" it is still a noun and properly pronounced psi.
I find my self writing Psi with a capital alot probaly because I think it is important and should stand out. In grammer it should be lowercased but I never use grammer these days.

I could really care less, it's a word, that's it. A word...now if we're writing an essay, sure I'll capitalize it. To each their own I guess.

Do we capitalize electricity? Nope, and it's a form of energy.
If you want to refer to 'Psi' as an entity, with a will of its own (pending on your beliefs) you would capitalize it. But as a force or energy, simply 'psi'.

I wrote earlier Psi should be lowercased but I always find my self to write it capitalized and it feels wierd when I lowercase it.
I always go what my mind wants me to do, so I think it should be lowercased in the sence of grammer. I think it should be capitalized because of what we come to know of Psi and its importance. Plus, lowercase psi means Pounds per Square Inch so maybe we should capitalize it.
