Heh, I just started playing KH1 (borrowed it from my sis who loves both FF and KH) and I am enjoying it so far... But my vote still stays with FF, and I still say that chrono trigger is the best rpg ever ;D

I really liked chrono trigger. However, I was a final fantasy junky growing up (I started with FF 3). I played through them all to the end. I loved them all (except 8 had a wierd storyline and enviornment, so it was one of my least favorites). Final Fantasy 9 was also low on my list. It was good, and had a nice storyline...but the feel of the game, was just awkward. I've played from 3-12, minus 11. I absolutely love Final Fantasy.
Although Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 were godly as well, I'm still going to say Final Fantasy. However, Kingdom Hearts could be a good genre, if it learns to stop when the story line is over. The first one was left wide open for a sequal. The second game? Not so much. However, in certain aspects, you could say that a sequel is acceptable. I love them both, but Final Fantasy wins out. Even thought the Kingdom Hearts battle system is pure ownage.

The battle system is a tweaked Star Ocean. Though I agree for the total ownage part.
