Where the point of the forum was for everyone to help eachother out to get these offers.

why not just work at a store? because getting a job is difficult, although I am trying, and all the money I'm going to make is going to be saved to pay off college, help out my family with their financial troubles, and VERY eventually, get a car. I will be able to get a laptop myself if need be, but this way I can get one that's powerful enough to do my animation and computer graphics, and it won't cast virtually anything, leaving the money that would have been spent on it to be spent on something much more important. But yeah. Basically, I've been trying to get a job for a while now. It's pretty hard, but I'm getting closer. Basically, I'd REALLY like t avoid spending the money if I can.

Thanks, Rippy. But I've discovered the company running the offer is EVIL.
My friend who tried it before got lucky and did the thing about a year ago when the company didn't do what the do now... which is pretty much lead you along, get their profits, then disqualify your account for reasons they won't tell you.
Grrr... guess I get to work and get a new comp that way... well, maybe it's better that way... it'll take longer and be, well... WORK... but I think it'll be better for me in the long run...
But yeah, thanks fot helping out, Rippy and everyone else who did.

Ever hear the words loans or scholarships? You can get finial aid, meaning if you are a good student the college will give you a scholarship or a break on the bill from a lot of colleges if you apply for it. When you get in college, get a part time job and then work on learning how to become an RA. Go to neighbors and offer to do their lawn during spring time or shovel their drive way. Baby sit, yes men can babysit too.

Good Luck Azaelius , You WILL get a laptop one day -and a nice one too!!
Follow the suggestions as best you can that JediKaren just mentioned, and also, cut out a picture of the laptop you want, and tape it somewhere in your room.
This will help you daily visualize yourself eventually getting one. Once you start visualizing something coming to you, it seems you actually attract it to yourself over time.
I've accidentally done this with negative things, and brought bad stuff on myself. After seeing the movie, "The Secret", I'm going to do this with all the things I WANT in my life. I even have a little bulliten board I am cutting out affirmations and photos to keep my vibes positive, so I can attract positive stuff in life.

Godd luck with trying to major in art. So am I, it's very tough. Why not use school computer labs? A flash drive with college comps makes for a pretty decent combo.

I think the best way to get things is to have connections. No, not mob connections though that could be helpfull. Have connections with people within your towns. You get to use there equipment, and they may have some advanced stuff they can use. That's why I do not need to buy a new laptop even though this one is like 7 yrs old and is wayy past death. Ive got this laptop resurected on almost daily basis now.
Good luck with getting a new laptop. ~Jano

Unfortunately, I'm gonna be paying to the tune of $70k.
My family wasn't eligible for most of the things to lower the cost. Bleh.
So I'm looking and applying to scholarships to reduce it.

Heh. I'm hoping to, in the end, work at Pixar Animation Studios.
But really, I'm aiming at being an animator, both 3D and 2D.
At least, that's what I'm majoring in is Media Arts and Animation.
