I was just curious, has anybody AP'd to the new Earth-Like planet? If not, one of us should try it. It'd be really interesting to know what it looks like, and for your own personal records, if you're any good at drawing, you could draw a scene of the planet you remember and keep it.

ah, I never thought of doing that! That would be cool, so I'll try it tonight. But, I might not succeed, so if I come in tomorrow with a drawing of a purple planet with aliens that look like, i dunno, cows, then you know I failed. EDIT: 4/28/07 I saw a purple planet with big cows. No, I failed. I couldn't do it.

You don't know that. We don't even know what's there. There could be life, there could not. Chances are though, if it is like earth, it very well could have life on it. Maybe even beings who have reached a higher consciousness, capable to transportation, and finding their way here. Maybe they'll be able to see you. But then again, maybe there won't be anything there at all, we don't know.

Maybe I can poke around there if I can ever summon up the willpower to do it, but I can't AP to save my life, and the expenditure of energy to mentally poke there might not equal the results xD
If I'm feeling bouncy in the next few days, I might. Heck, I might even be able to use my theories of an Aether to my advantage for it too.

That could be our new world. You know, the 2012 thing, Mayan Prophecy blah blah... But if were supposed to move to the 5th dimension, then we will probably have a new world. Could be that one...

Doubt it, its just a planet. There are billions of planets like that in our universe. The Mayan prophecy didn't even state that we would get a new world, it just stated that a new age will begin...

I believe that our planet will definitly not survive for more then a century so we will eventually have to move to another planet. Since this one is the closest we know about then It will be it.
APing to the new planet? Hmm. I'll try that after I achive the psionic boost. Still condensing construct with tons of energy.

Accidently hit modify your post instead of quote oops =X Well, according to my research on Aether as I started poking around with it you can perform somthing similiar to teleportation if that is what you are thinking. Of course teleporting to a place of which you do not know is unsafe so I am quessing you have a different theory. ~Jano

Heh. I fail at teleportation.
I haven't gotten around to poking at the planet-- besides, I don't have the foggiest idea where it is =)
Maybe tomorrow, I'm kind of tired... Happy, but tired. And I still have a few things to do left with whatever I can dredge up. And I really do need to figure out a general idea as to where it is >.>
Thus scanning, thus time. AND probably more scanning unless someone knows where it is and feels like putting a powerful enough beacon to reach here from there =P
Which I might do, IF I could find it XD

Regarding where it is: looking from earth follow the line between sigma libra and beta libra past beta libra for a little bit. It's 20.499 light years from earth orbiting a red dwarf called either Wolf 562, Gliese 581, or HIP 74995. When I had a look I saw a planet that was brown on both sides and green round the middle. The green seemed mostly because of kelp-like growing stuff. One side seemed really hot and the other side seemed really cold.

I failed. I need to be able to see the place before I think myself there.

Hi! I don't Ap, and that's another conversation altogether. Does it have any moons? I like moons dangpp Scientists are estimating another 1 billion years of happy goodness, then in 2 billion years the Earth will begin getting hotter and less desirable. In 3 billion years it will bsically be the same as Venus (uninhabitable, hot, burned away etc.) You see Venus used to be our perfect twin...just with a little extra CO2 the created the whole greenhouse effect, and destroyed the planet. The same thing will happen to us, it'll just take longer! lol Of course the sun only has what 4.4 billion years left? So it's not like we would have much more time before we are destroyed by the sun...lol

also remember that the sun is growing and at a certain point, the sun will increase it's growth and will overtake Earth, along with all the other palents before Earth and places like Pluto will be pretty warm before the sun dies.

Will it come all the way to Earth? I was wondering if it would make it that far.
