Yeah, It highly depends on the person, i've met people that have awful precognitions, and are traumatized by them, but for me, mine are useful, they've saved me and others from painful situations, so I really appreciate them.

well knowing can help and hurt you. You may or may not be able to save someone. Sometimes you can't save someone, like if you knew when your grandfather was going to die and he was dying a natural death. There's nothing you can do about that, but it's painful to live through, know when it's going to happen.

By posting this, I was not saying precog is bad and that you musnt learn it, all I meant was that it isnt always this great gift. Like Karen said, somethings you cannot change.

But in that case at least you can prepare yourself, I hate more the sudden deaths, My grandfather died from Altzheimmer and it was painful but I was grateful that at least I had a couple of years to prepare myself to what was coming. In sudden deaths I see more sadness and more grief because you never expect them, precog at least gives you that, even if you don't save someone at least you had time to prepare yourself, although there's always the phrase in you mind after that "I know I could have saved them..."
That's the only bad part to know that you actually could have made the difference. But well not everything could be good about precog, I'm still glad I have them, even when sometimes they sadden me, they have saved me in several ocations and for that I'm thankful.

The thing that got me to develop my powers was a horrible vision of others being killed so trust me I know sometimes that precog can be a curse sometimes.

agreed, precognition can be both a great gift, or a painful burden. visions don't always have to do with life and death, like I knew my (ex)girlfriend was cheating on me, which isn't super. but yea having it is the greatest skill to gain or to be born under.

that is true, you rarely know exactly when something is gonna happen.

I agree with that, what I don't agree is that you discourage people, just because it happened to you and some others like that doesn't mean it happens like that to everybody. You should let them decide whether it's good for themselves instead of frightening them.
Anyway I think it's an awesome gift that like everything else in the universe has its pros and cons. So I think we should stop saying it's bad, because in escence it's not, it's all about perspective..
