I noticed in the "What grade are you in?" poll that there are more college students than I would have thought on this site. Just wondering what everyone's major is and maybe why they picked that major.
I'm studying Marine Biology at Texas A&M University. I picked the major because I have always loved animals and the ocean.

Louisville Technical Institute here, going for both Information Systems Security and Cisco Network Administration. Security is useless without networking, networking is useless without security. Seemed rather obvious it was take both or not learn what is needed.
I wish to go into the security field, and I have a nice little background for that already. Paranoid as can be, and my computer with worthless things on it is better secured than most computers I have seen. At my tech school, I left it running for a month and said anyone who could get into it could have it. Was still locked down just as tight two months later.

I love publicity, and I'm also having some design classes on the side to complement my career.

I don't have a major as of yet, but I'll most likely end up doing either a automotive field or a robotics one, though I still have the chance to be a massage therapist.

Well because strangely I can stay awake, even do well (usually), and I'm vaguely interested in it.

A couple of friends suggested that I be a philosopher or a mythology teacher for some reason?...

everyone thinks I'm going to teach history, but in order to do that I need my masters and I don't have the grades for that nor the want. I don't know what I will do with my history degree, but I'm not going to college to get a degree so much as I'm going to get educated, to learn more about the world around me, and expand myself in ways that the "real" world would never do.

Well you could work for the government and search for missing clues to America's history? I've been watching National Treasure too much! ;D

It depends on what you want to do, and how much your willing to pay. School costs way to much if you ask me!
