Ok, the topic of this thread is the overall term, "Life"
Now you may go out and Debate about it. What do you think Life is? Your beliefs? Why do you believe in your belief? What do you think the point of Life is? Etc.
Ok, Begin.

The point of life ? It is what we make of it. Some people believe in destiny. I think there is some things that are destined. Like death of course, we all end up dying. I think in life though, if there is any point to it, is to be a good person. I believe in reincarnation, but not like the Buddhists, believing in if bad or something you turn into a frog or what so.
Life is .....life. It is an existance. Or at least one of them. There is much that we do not know about life, existance, and conciousness. Even though I believe in reincarnation, I could be wrong. There is too much we don't know. So though I do enjoy living, I cannot wait to die sometimes because there is a mystery that can only be unveiled in death. But I can wait for that.
I think a secret to get by in life is to live, love, and laugh. To live fully (this may a bit overused, but its true): to live every day as if its your last and to live like you shall life forever. For me, it means, never take things for granted. It means to take chances, even if it is as simple as going to the mall with friends. We may never get a second chance to say I love you, goodbye, ectetra. It is cliche, but it works. And to laugh....to laugh at yourself, to laugh at the stupid things, the silly things. It is good to laugh because it is healing for the soul. It takes more muscles to frown than it is to smile or laugh and makes people less likely to have wrinkles = ) To end this, it is to love passionately and completely, it makes you vulernable but it makes you strong. It is my weakness and my strength to have such compassion. Sometimes I know I care to much and so sometimes I have to withdraw, but to love passionately and care about others, people have learned to do the same for me. For me, it gives me such happinesses to help someoen a bit even though they are suffering and I can't help them all the way through in the long run.
I believe these, because out of everything I've gone through and what my friends have gone through, this is what we have learned to keeps us happy. It is to easy to make our hearts stone hard. It is to east to turn out back on the world. But to live these things in this way, I find it good, noble, and true. There are many other qualities to a good person or even other things that help get you through these life, but these two basic things with yourself and with your friends, is an aid.

Life sucks and then you die. There is no deep meaning, there is nothing more, there is nothing to hope for, that's it.
My opinion.

Hell... I wanted to really go deep on this one but daevl has already simplified my points of view into one small sentence.
I also believe that life is nothing more than being born and dying, there's deeper stuff on it but it's really a more spiritual matter. So maybe the point of the debate should be other because life as it is, is just the biological term that refers to the cicle in which a subject is created to when it dies. And I say a subject because there's a lifespan for everything... Worlds, animals, plants, even machines. So I really think that Mr. E should especify a bit more to get a good debate out of this.

Hey, come on now, as sentences go it was at least medium length. And there was two of them. Two whole sentences. How much deeper do you want me to go? <lame smiley face so that you realise I'm not being serious>

Well, It was also more about your beliefs as well. Such as After Life and such.
Even the simplest terms have a deep meaning.

Life is a process where people are born and grow and mature until they die. What you do in life is up to you. I personally believe in the after life (simply because I'm raised strongly as a Christian). I don't believe in reincarnation though.

I remember this quote I saw once, there is birth and there is death, there is no great meaning, only the interval inbetween. Life is just what you make of it. Is there a point to human suffering? I don't know, I can't even pretend to know. XD that is why sometimes I cannot wait to die, because maybe then it'll be revealed. Of course, if there really is no soul, then when I die, it would not matter.

I believe in the uniqueness of our conscience. I find it like two huge blobs connected by a thin line. And that thin line is conscience. That's what allows us to be aware of what happens. And that line can be severed every so easily.
I don't know what to believe. It's funky to think you'll just warp through times when you die, like when you sleep. It's interesting to think of reincarnation, but how would you know, if you don't remember a thing? I just would like to know what happens to the consciousness when it's severed from the body. It's such an enormous thing... Don't you aggree?

More or less the question is....what we 'remember' about reincarnation, is it real?

Well i think saying life sucks, then you die is a little negative, even though it does have it's not so good points sometimes. But I do believe something has to happen when you die. I can't even comprehend that nothingness it would be if nothing happens. I mean like that's it, nothing more, show's over. It's just really hard to even try and comprehend, like going to sleep, but not having any dreams...I don't know how to say it, it's more of a feeling i get when i think of that.

Seriously though I think life is just a way to explore you body, mind and soul. Then you die and move into another form where you explore yourself in new and interesting ways(ie heaven/hell)

My view of life is that we are here to try to help, but then we find out that "Life sucks and then you die." so we just die like everyone else.
Then we rot and things live due to our death. Gotta love circles.

I found out the world sucked some time ago. Life doesn't suck, though.
Questioning and intelligent and considerate people are more than often burdened with a hard life for the comprehension they have of the world. Most people just want to have fun, or do their jobs, or raise their family. They bother not with any idea outside their existence.
But one must apreciate the gifts that are presented to us. Our lives, our condition, our loved ones, and our ability to grow.
And never give up on the world, on life, on people, but instead try to change it any way you can.
People always tell me "what are you gonna do?" and my answer is humble "I don't know, but i must try."
