I have messed around and basically found this out. This is targeted at those of you who are empath like me. Someone in my family got hit by a car and everyone was afraid he was going to die (hes doing fine now) but its making me experiment with new ways to help reduce the stress from empathy. Shielding works but I would rather find something that uses less energy.
*Make your psiball
*Think about a list of certain emotions you don't want to feel.
*Now for the construct to stay alive tell it to feed off of the excess emotional energy that was on your list.
*Tell it to follow you
*You may want to shell it, thats your choice I personally do.
*A failsafe might be a good idea, I usually tell mine it can live until I go to bed or for the duration of the stressful situation.
What happens is everyone projects emotions, when that happens you get these big emotion clouds that amplify everything they feel. With negative emotions that just makes everything compound and get worse. The construct drains the energy from those specific emotions away, and you and the other people around you can still feel their internal emotions without it turning into a big mess.
Depending on the situation you can of course tell it to feed of of certain emotional energy from or excluding certain people. The tech might be good for a guardian construct, or something to aid your shield. I find that even in highly stressful situations the construct can do about as well as emotional shielding but it can have more benefits to everyone around you.
I notice people around me tend to fight and argue less. I use it sometimes just for my own emotions, it helps me stay in a calm, focused and centered state of mind. When you get overloaded with any emotions it can impair your judgment.
This comes in handy during a time you know you will be facing stress or certian emotions.
