why headache

last night when i went into my aunts house my little cousin (her daughter) looked at me and said "your thinking of 'colour here'"

and i said "no". then she tried to get my colour but didnt get it, then she tried again a started to get them. then after about 3 tries it was my turn. then i began getting her colours.
then her mom got annoyed and told us to go into the kitchen. probably because we were disturbing her, she was watching the tv and talking to my other cousin and wasnt paying much attention to us.

so anyway. we stopped. then i went to check on her birds. then when i came back into the living room i got a heaache in the back of my head. i tried to "ride it out" but it wouldnt go away. so i went over to my house and grounded, centered and made a shield to stop all energy from entering.

but iv never gotten a headache from telepathy before. so i was wondering if this is a common thing and will go away as i get better at it?

I wouldn't know, I know very little about telepathy, but I would probably lay off the telepathy for a bit; how long were you doing it for?

It is fairly common. It happens to me when I try to receive but not when I send.

I've had that happen alot lately but supposedly it's just a tension headache you're neck is at a bad angle or something like that.

when you recieve? makes sence. this time when i tried it, i pulled energy from her to make the link, instead of sending mines. so mabey thats it

You let too much energy through your system, maybe nonconcios thing but your system needed time to calibrate and get use to thet flow of energy. you cant put 2l of water in a tank with 1l capacity- when that happens to you it's an overload. Happily we don't use full capacity of our system so you didn't overload but you openned energy flow on full, you forced system to chanel energy greater then it usually chanel and didn't give any time to get use to it, it was to quick, and you got headache. Try to use that extra energy, move psi wheel (it helps to me), but with no gathering extra energy-just spend what you have, or ground yourself.

It has been my experience that most people involved in any sort of psychic work experience headaches - the more taxing the work you do, the worse the headache. It seems to be a bi-product of working with that portion of the mind. It's painful - and it can be debilitating depending on what it is. From what I know, it's like working a muscle - if you push too hard, you'll be sore. And over time, your 'muscle' will get stronger. If you overextend yourself, you will end up with a migraine, but if you never work out you'll never get any better or stronger.

Which is very true. Although, I have to say that the psionic muscle I have for scanning is weak in endurance and no amount of practice will strengthen it.

Well, some people are stronger in one area than another - for example I cannot, for the life of me, perform telekinesis.

ha, i can do telekinesis, but cant use it on fire or any other element

the karama is just for fun. if you say something that someone likes, they might give you a point but if they dont like what you say they might tale it off. but it has nothing to do with this psi-site. its on other none-psi-proboards site

I have never had a headache from psi, but I won't count it out as a possibility. Most of the times I've experienced pain due to psi it's been in my arms.

I get some raging headaches from psi... But it's usually because I push right up to the limits of my abilities(It seems to be faster training, but you have to take more days off).

Neh, at least I know when to stop before really hurting myself.
