Not telepathy, but something weird

Sometimes I get the feeling that someone is calling my name, but when I turn around, or look around, no one is there. It happens when I'm listening to music sometimes, but other times it's at really random times. For example, about a month ago I saw two people on the sidewalk on the way home from school. I remembered them from about four years ago, when we used to be somewhat friends. We hadn't talked since. They didn't seem to recognize me, but as I passed, I thought I heard someone calling my name. When I turned around, it didn't look like they had called my name at all; in fact, they were still walking away. I'm definetely not schizophrenic, so what could it be?

It may be telepathy. Are you working on telepathy? Because it might have got to the point where your mind is just making things up to help your telepathy.

One of the friends you haven't seen in a while might just have though "sleepyhollow94!" Or they might have been whispering it as they walked away, and you just heard your name.

Okay, this happens to me all the time and I think it is the anticipation of your name being called that you hear it in your head.
