I mean how do you program a psi ball. Do you constanly repeat what you want it to do in your head or what? How long does it usually take YOU to program a psi ball to stay alive sort of speak?

It depends, there are several different ways one might program. One method is visualization, in which you mentally picture what you wish for it to do, or visually design it's purpose.
Another method would be basically, yes, repeating it in your head as you form it, pressing those thoughts into the construct itself to act as a guiding force.
A third way is by basic instinct, you know generally what you want it to do-- but you don't know the specifics, basically, you're just saying 'do this' in your head, and you know what needs to be done, thus the construct 'knows' in a sense, what needs to be done.
Take what I say with a grain of salt, I'm no expert on programming.

What I use is conceptual and sub-conceptual programming. I do not even think, I just form a concept of something, assign a name to it. Later on, I create a good strong base of energy, think the name, and all the properties of the concept are programmed into the energy. Time to program a construct to last for a month is about a hundreth of a second at most.

i just think about the stuff i want it to do. know what you want and the construct will do it

I layer my programming, for clarity and to make sure it'll last a while.
I start with just the general feeling of what I want it to do, then I get more and more specific.
I think it lasts longer, but I'm not sure, I'm a lot stronger now than I used to be.

layers are good for making a psi ball wait for a trigger before carrying out their progamming. Programming a psi ball is basically just deciding what sort of psi ball you want to have.
