As the topic implies, I'm new to Psionics and may need some help and/or tips. Here's some things on my mind:
1. Is it necessary to practice focal meditation? 2. Is grounding or centering necessary? 3. Any tips on throwing, then catching a psi ball?
Any help would be appreciated, along with any other tips for a n00b that don't fit the above topics. Sorry to bother you guys, ^_^'

1. Is it necessary to practice focal meditation? Is that a typo or what is a focal meditation? As for normal, blank out your mind meditation-possible. Some people can't calm down and focus without it, some can. You'll have to try and see what works for you. 2. Is grounding or centering necessary? Sometimes. If you are overloade with energy or emotions, yes it is. 3. Any tips on throwing, then catching a psi ball? Focal Meditation: Practice yourself to focus on one thing, and not have your mind wander.

I recommend grounding, centering and meditation, a must for everyone of all abilities!

1. How do you center? I've heard of it... 2. What should I focal meditate on? I hear Candle Fire is popular....but what else could I focus on?

Candle fire, yes I've heard of that. You can try not thinking, psi, your breathing, hearrate, a scene, a person, the list goes on.
As for centering it basically is a way to center your emotions aka get a grip over them. Find a spot in you that is calm and focus. To center find that calm spot and focus on that until you have calmed down.

Could a focus on an item? Like a pen or a book. Or maybe a logo on something?

The KEY to all psi, is starting out with meditation and practice.
You just gotta constantly WANT to do it. sometimes, you might not even see it, but if you want it there, it probably is. Just gotta stay positive with it, my friend.
You could try meditating/focusing on one object. A mirror is pretty cool to watch while you focus on yourself, and for me, a spinning celing fan is great to meditate on.
Practice.

Yeh I just relax on my bed and watch something, like im trying to blank out everything but that object, it makes me stare for longer and its just easy to clear mind, but mostly I just may be watching tv or running around, goin up stairs and Ill make a psi ball or whateva, only takes 4 seconds to get a slightly solid 1, 10 seconds for a reasonable 1
