Hey there. I've read a lot about some people being "born" telepaths, empaths, telekinetics.... So, question. Is everyone a born something, however small the born talent is? If so, what are the signs that you're born something and how can you develop it? If not, do people have "affinities", and then how does one know which they are? Thanks

I believe all humans are born psychic, namely telepathic. It just has to develop. Like me, two years ago, I thought only special people were psychic, and that they've had it all their lives. But then I changed; I became telepathic, and realized it's something that everyone has.
Society won't let them admit it, since it can be seen as a subjective experience.

So then what are the signs of one's natural ability? I read here of some people being able to slightly deviate water falling from the faucet without thinking about it, or others being born telepaths and the such. How can I know which ability I'm "born" with, so I can develop it and train before moving to learn something entirely new?

The only thing I can say is to look for things out of the ordinary.

Hm. I've been searching for abnormal things about myself since I was like.... 10... And in 8years, I found the most abnormal thing about me was the fact I can un-synchronize my eyes and an uncanny talent for drawing and acting. Maybe also the fact I can very easily relate to people and understand how they feel - not necessarily feel what they do, just relate to it and find the right words. I've also looked for, I dunno, particular affinites like the fact I feel extremely comfortable underwater compared to out of water. Then I've just wandered around everywhere looking for viable sources that might help me find out whether those "gifts" or affinities meant something or were signs of something, and I never found anything. Which is why I'm taking the opportunity of having knowledgeable people answering me to ask those questions....

If you find something that says those qualities point to a certain power or something, don't believe it. That's just you, a water-loving, artistic soul.
Wait a few more years; I'm sure something will begin to manifest itself in you. It just takes time (not time since birth, it's the kind of time that starts when you hit puberty...)

I agree with waiting. I also have another suggestion. Try to stop looking for it, and if you do still want to look for it, maybe you should look it different places, but still sometimes a power will only reveal itself when you are ready for it and no sooner.

I was 18 when it started, myself.
But I've seen 14 year olds with telepathy too, so I felt kinda cheated.

Haha, that's understandable. I know a five-year-old with clairvoyance. And a pretty developed gift too. She knew her mom was pregnant like... two weeks before the said mother took a maternity test. For example.

I'd say that no one is born with a natural abbility. You are what you make yourself. If you go around believing your more of an empath then of course your going to be better at it because its the one skill you "believe" your good at. Thats the real trick here. Its not just practicing and wanting...
90% of all students in the psychic field still dont believe that they are, they hope they are... Distinguse the difference and you will learn.

I see the point you are making, but I tend to disagree. I have had my abilities since I was very young. I didn't believe in having anything like that, and I didn't want it. I still don't want some of these abilities, but I have had them long enough to know that they won't go away, and some of them have helped me from time to time. Even if I were to believe I didn't have them, the fact remains that they are still there.

Agreed. I never thought of my aura vision as being aura vision, i wrote them off as after images. But only recently have i discovered that they can't be after images, since blue is not the opposite of red. Anyway, believing in it is no requirement. I was a sceptic at first, but still open for the possibility. I always believed people could do it, i just never believed anybody could do it, least of all me. And i did it.
