Psi and Magick

Maybe I should have been more specific. I wasn't sure is psi and Magick were somewhat oppostites. I wondered if many psions had something against magick for some certain reason. But it looks like i got my anwser because it looks like I've opened a debate.

Lol. No. I personally practice magic according to Veritas. This is just a psionic specific community so if you wish to go do magic just go to those other boards. Jedikaren and others have nothing against it, this board just isn't meant for it that's all.

I want to throw my two cents in on this one. In my honest opinion, I believe magick and psi energy are the same thing, if not very similar. There's even a section of magick called Direct Magick if I'm not mistaken which is exactly psionics (TK and the like).

Since I was raised pagan, much of what I learned about psi-balls, constructs, shielding and programming I learned from childhood, regardless of the fact that I didn't push into it that much. To make it rain or snow, I'd create a psi-ball and program it seek out what it needed to produce rain and make it fall, then send the little guy upwards into the sky. Back then I called it magick, then I called it psionics, today I call it quantum physics.

So all in all, I think it depends on the person's viewpoint. Even the spirit world can be explained using quantum mechanics, but that's another article which I likely won't type tonight. Maybe Monday I'll type something up on my theory of spirit worlds and how they interact with us here and see what everyone thinks of it.

Magic-Manipulation of specific energies(depends on what you are doing) to achieve a goal or manifestation.
Psionics-Manipulation of Psychic energy to produce results of psychic 'powers' or abilities.
