I know this is a old topic but I think I have some new info, i use to think that tele and psychokinesis were the same but they are not. If you can only move objects it's telekinesis, if only fire pyrokinesis, etc.....

Psychokinesis is a term that stands for them all and the rest are branched off terms that explain only a certain ability.

the word telekinesis means you can move things at a distance. Tele = distance, tele-vision = see at a distance (through the electricity that comes throught the cable) . Psychokinesis is the ability to move things with your mind. Although you could call poking something with a stick telekinesis, I dont believe people would take you seriously . Then, if you need to move things with your mind to do telekinesis, you're also doing psychokinesis. If you're moving something with your mind, it's at a distance, so it's telekinesis too. Pyrokinesis is a word that works for psycho/telekinesis on fire, but it also stands for standard movement of fire. If you wave your hand, the fire moves, fire (pyro) moves (kinesis). You just did pyrokinesis. But of course when pyrokinesis is spoken about in the forum, it means the psycho-pyro-kinesis or tele-pyro-kinesis.

That's what i think anyway.
