All the abilities (that are not fluff)

can someone tell me all of the abilities that are not fluff but real

the better question would be to define fluff. that would abilities that border the edge of reason, such as teleportation, controlling a hurricane, flying.

moving the wind, moving a book, breaking electronic objects, putting out a candle, lighting a candle, moving a rock, and making water ripples are all accepted as something that can be accomplished.

In addition to what bigdognick said, rolling cans/pencils/straws, the psi wheel, levitating a large sheet of aluminium foil...Man, nick you stole all the good ones.

Well some kinesis are real but have some fluffy parts to them.

And the proper term for it would be like for an example, PK on Water = Auqakinesis. We would just use Aquakinesis and such for a shorter name.
Some kinesis I know are real are:
Telekinesis
Biokinesis (but can be dangerous)
Aquakinesis( basically telekinesis but just on water)
Pyrokinesis
Cryokinesis (Not sure on this one but I use to do it and it worked preety well.)
Aerokinesis
Geokinesis
Vitakinesis (I hate the fact that they put "Kinesis" on the end of this, its not a kinesis, its just using Psi to heal yourself.)

Some fluffy kinesis's you should stay away from are:
Gryokinesis (Control of Gravity =/)
Necrokinesis (I have heard someone has done this but it can be very dangerous if it does work and isnt fluff so Im putting it here. Personally I think its fluff)
Tetrakinesis (someone just made this one up as a joke, dont bother with it.)

Thats all of the ones I can think of so far.

For the purposes of this site? NONE! They are against the rules. Same as anything else. The only one that might slide would be biokinesis. Use DMILS to avoid the -kinesis rule.

Sounds like there's also the degree that these are said to be performed before people call fluff. Unless you've been raised as an Indian fakir, or had some serious repressions that have to come out as uncontrolled psychokinesis or poltergeist activity... then:
Pk fire, yes; setting a candle wick alight, yes: Carrie, no.
Psychokinesis, of books maybe but not anvils so averting the path of a comet the size of Texas is out.
Pk air to make a slight breeze in a small area, yes: Storm, no.
Biokinesis to change the color of the iris, maybe, but not to become Otherkin or X-men.

I don't hold the opinion anymore that these "beyond this line be fluff" degrades the ability of the human mind, or sets limits to what we're "allowed" to do in psionics... it's just usually if somebody claims "I burned the whole city down with only the power of my mind, then pushed back a giant meteor like Superman, called the Forces of Nature to strike thunderbolts at people I don't like, AND altered my DNA to become half elf-unicorn!" It's far more likely the poster is mocking all the hard work people put in researching psionics, or overcompensating for something (telling an outright lie just for the benefit of credulous admiration) than it actually having happened...

but I altered my DNA to become a half elf-unicorn dragon cat and im Not lieing. half elf-unicorns ARE fluffy cause its just a waste of ability to pick just two creatures.


all of the abilities are real..... or, fluff is just a term that applied to an ability thats an already existing ability and one in the same, but made to sound like a completely different ability

yes, basicly is the use of common sense really, if you think something sounds really bad or makes no sense at all it's probably fluff, even if people think otherwise...

Well, whenever you say something like "Aerokinesis" I think of that as relating Telekinesis to something more specific, as it says, air. All I would accept would be Aero, Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, and Bio. But I don't think you're allowed to call it that, since everything is specifically called "Telekinesis" because it covers the broad area of all of these and more.

I really don't think you get this. We aren't saying that any ability isn't possible. We are just saying some names of abilities are improper.

Right. And the fact that the things Havik said are not abilities. They are simply moving things with PK. If you treat them as separate abilities you will give yourself a mental block.
