Ok...what they said, tensing up your body, every muscel, and holding that for ten seconds...then letting go really helps you get relaxed faster. If you do it a couple time's you'll be eve more relaxed. Very good article. However...I am curious to know how you could abuse meditation? I know how you could abuse other powers...but not meditation...please explain.

One way is that you can easily become addicted to meditation due to the peace it can bring to your mind. For someone with as messed up of a mind as mine, it is incredibly hard to resist the urge to meditate every single free moment.
I don't really see anything wrong with that, but others might.

ok do not abuse medatation...would this mean that Monks of the Buddhist religion who meditate almost all the time abuse it? beacause realy, meditation is one of the only good things that i can think of that you cant realy abuse(psi is the second one...once i learn to feel it on comand that is )

Most of the meditation techniques brought up all seem to originate from excerpts from Hypnosis manuals I read as a kid and they will all work to lower you into a trance but you must control the levels, which is hard to do if your laying down in a bed because then you continue into sleep. To meditate it is best in a somewhat upright position comfortibility will become less crucial the more you practice but the key is not to get too comfortable so that you don't fall asleep, as you are meditating for purpose to learn and to guide your self to a different plane of existince. To meditate can be brought on through many purposes and really don't have all the time in the world to get into them all here and now. But can be learned easily through Hypnosis books, shoot just type in meditation through google and you will be amazed what you find but always surf the free meditation of course.lol When I Have more time at home I will add more ways to accomplish this for you if you would like. I am not an expert nor a teacher just a self learned student but hey we all have to pave our own paths. Actually the best way to actually meditate is the old fasioned way with you legs crossed and on the floor only because you can do it almost anywhere. But I like the comfortable chair or loveseat if your really planning on being there awhile. You can clear your mind which is always the hardest, but possible. Or you can simply make your own special place as I did when I first traveled there I simply imagined myself on a large rock next to a waterfall flowing into a stream. heard the birds nature whatever you wish. They also have abstract pictures that actually take your mind to certain areas like an alternate universe but never indulged that far. It is limitless what you can imagine just find your own special place you could be floating in the clouds. The whole point is to esczpe the reality that your presently in and to relax. that all there is to it nothing more. But you must use the clearing technigue I assume to work on the many aspects you are doing hear such as PSI not really even sure what that stands for but out of body sounded awseome to me no never been there yet. You can clear after your relaxed from your mental vacation sorta put it. Then imagine whatever else you need to such as your body projection or energy soul or body whichever you call it. The One technique about going down would be used once your in your place beceause you are only under a bit and relaxed this downward movement makes you sink deeper and deeper into a trance like state which is not impossible but very hard to control yourself and usually needs guidance of another person or yourself taped projecting you deeper and to wherever else you need to go from there. You can imagine steps that you travel often or escalators also work, you can imagine going through stages of escalators and feel certain colors flowing through you whith each level you go down. there are many many ways to get to where your seeking but the question is what is the end result that your looking for. You could simply walk down one flight of stairs and see yourself at the bottom counting always counting down with each step 20 down deeper 19 totally relaxed feel yourself letting go 18 take a deep breath and continue with anything that makes you feel more relaxed. The deeper you go the more you practice the more perceptive your mind is thats how hypnotists are able to control your thoughts per say they could never make you do anything you wouldn't normally do. But the point here is that you could tape yourself to quit smoking or anything you wanted that is how meditation works because actually at this point your subconcious mind is the one in control and surely we all know remembers everything and is always in the background working away to keep all of our bodily functions going. So what better way then to train something that is always going to think about it because your conciuos certainly wont it will forget in about a week or so. But ya thats how easy it is to meditate and there are many books on the subject. Thats just some of what I remember from when I was 19 and im 33 now I do have to get back to work though not sure how far I trailed here and no i'm not an English mager and really can't type that well either. So excuse the flowing river of knowledge. I'll live with myself hope you can to..lol
