Getting Enlightenment in quick pace??

Anybody know how can i get enlightenment in quick pace by meditating??

the desire to be enlightened stops you from being enlightened. neither wanting or not wanting is the true way.

Both of these are true to an extent. You must simply give up all desires, all wants, and simply live. Much harder done than spoken, as I have found. Hard as I try to just live, I still find myself wanting things, desiring things, and due to that, I tend to be highly depressed quite often.

It is a hard path, but once you learn how to live, it is quite amazing. You would not believe how much beauty is around us all the time unless you could see it for yourself. I am willing to bet that if I had a million years of life, I would still never become enlightened. Not just something that comes easily, and trying to do anything will prevent it from occuring.

the point was to meditate......as in, let it all go in meditation!

You can have things, its just that you cannot be attached to things. For example - I have so much stuff that I own that I don't care at all about that it would take me a month to get rid of even a tenth of it. All I am attached to is my link to the online world, where I can teach and help others, and my music-playing-devices.

I never claimed to not be attached to things. It is a basic law that society teaches you, and one of the reasons I hate society. It teaches that things are more valuble than thoughts.

At any rate, I highly doubt that anyone here will end up enlightened at any point. I know that I am quite far away at the very least. Not really sure on anyone else, but the chances of anyone really having the right mindset are quite low.
