While surfing the net recently, I came across a very interesting little program called the BrainWave Generator. This program uses binaural beats to lower your own mind's brainwaves towards the binaural beat frequencies. This technique can quickly induce altered states of consciousness, such as meditation, astral projection, lucid dreaming, etc. Not only does it come with several presets that are designed to help with everything from meditation to common aches nad pains simply by listening to them through a pair of headphones, the generator can also be used to quite easily create your own presets for more specific things. The program itself is a bit difficult to explain after that ... you'll pretty much have to see it for yourself.

i have tried this before but eventually the tracks become old and worn, if you want to get the additional tracks you have to go and buy it for $10(?)

Well, it's easy enough to create your own presets, and you can download all sorts of other presets from the main website for free. If you have Bwgen, I can probably send you some of my own presets. I have a few designed specifically for psychic healing, astral projection, meditation, etc. They are very useful for a psion ... I know from personal experience.

There's a way in the program to convert any presets you have into WAV files. What I often do is, I make a really cool preset, edit it so that it turns out just how I want it, then convert it to MP3 and download it to my iPod. And then I can listen to it through headphones wherever I am. So far I have made a track that lowers you to the optimum healing frequency (7.5 Hz) through plateaus, so that your body can heal. I also have one that I call "Psi Trance", which does much the same thing, lowering you to 4.0 Hz, which is supposedly the best mental state for astral projection, lucid dreaming, precognition, energy manipulation, ESP, and a host of other paranormal stuff.
