Age?

Okay I have a very good question to ask, it has been on my mind all week, so I decided to post it now. Okay so I was wondering, is it possible for one's ability to use psi or have a powers we are talking about, lie dormant for someone, like most of their life, then suddenly they gain the abilities on their birthday. or the famous witch tv show style, you don't get your powers till 16 (i am 15 and hope this might be the case.) While on your Birthday you go through a normal day, you wake and are greeted by a happy birthday, go to school "happy birthday" on and on and on. then the next day, it is a VERY weird day you know something is wrong, you feel like a storm is coming, you never felt like this before, and a few hours later and in fact a thunderstorm does come. Or the next day you feel really lazy, but you need to go close the door cause your mother is using the vacuum and it is disrupting the sound, so you will the door shut, and it shuts. >_> Anyway getting to the point of the matter IS IT POSSIBLE to not have the ability to use powers until a certain age? like 16?

But if you have the idea that this is happening I am sure it can create some mental block or something

well i'm sure it takes some time. i wish i could have been taught/discovered this sooner... but then i probably wouldve failed college.

Omg!!! It would be sooooo cool to unlock abilities at a certain age or event, I totally imagined a scene kind of like when Hagrid tells Harry Potter is a wizard, but I imagined Hagrid coming to me at age eleven and telling me "You're a psion"...That would totally rock!!!.

I don't think that coming to certain age helps into getting psionic abilities, you should train them from zero, although I agree that certain events may help, like a near death experience, or a really happy, dangerous or sad ocation where you suddenly use psi without knowing.

For me I used psi without knowing, again with a harry potter example, Like when harry talked to the snake when he was little, he didn't knew he was doing magic, like that, well and an event opened my mind and then everything went smoother...

But I don't think turning 16 really helps, unless something really special happens at your 16th birthday, although I realized until age 18 so....

Stuff on TV like that will make the age on the show the same as the age of the target audience, so that it relates. It doesn't mean that you're going to wake up floating about over bed on your sweet sixteenth.

yes age doesn't matter, though I have noticed around 13ish and up is when people get interested in psi, but abilities can show up at any time. I've also noticed that 20 and up is another "awaking" for adults who supressed their abilities until then.

Yeah I all ways knew I had an ability.I all ways used it and it helped me.I start really noticing it when I was like 10 and still notice it.

well yes but for some one that is in need because if you have power high power your body cant control it so some one blocks it till a certant age like 16 or 18 or even 20 or if there is a crack in the mental shield that keps the power hiden you notice small parts of it like me i have felt psi since an very early age a was firs grade i tink and gathered energy in my hand and also some control over wind but no one ever beleved me iven my ant or aunt(or however you spell it) and she is into the higher mind thing like astral projection and stuf she said i was imagining those tings

wow karen 13 i am going on to 14 and i started getting in this stuff oh and raku it cant be age because i am going on to 14 and i can move my psi-wheel the next thing i want to learn is cyrokensis but they dont have anything on here on how to do it:(

WOW your pretty good well look on this web their should be some stuff or ask around and google cryokinesis and see what you can get

No you won't get it on your birthday, but you might take time to receive it.

I didn't ripen until I was 19. And it didn't all happen in one day, either....

My skills popped up in 5th grade, although I was old enough to know not to tell anyone. And I too am only 13.

It definitely didn't happen in one day. Empathy started when I got the chicken pox (lol I've no idea why this happened...it just did). Telepathy started at 11 maybe, then PK just started about a year ago (at 12). Then of course, energy manipulation is something I really love, but I never really had a knack for it. So no, the age thing is not really a factor here.

it differs for all some are born aware of these gifts other discover them later but they still are there, dormant for most, until we take a fire of discovery with us to uncover this ancient mystery
