I didn't know where else to put this topic. Does anyone else feel effected by lightning? I mean, yesterday, we had a pretty bad storm around here and whenever lightning flashed, I got a chill--one of those strong ones that make you shiver a bit. This has never happened before. Comments?

Nothing to do with psionics, for sure.

Nuuka, I'm not sure if that's true. A lot of the people I speak to on the OECs etc. get the same effect, including me, but when I mention it to people who don't practice psionics they look at me like I'm crazy.
As I say, I'm not sure either way.

I cant help explain it but I do funny things with electricity. I have no idea why but since being blasted from the mains I can feel it from much further than others. It also seems atracted to me, though thankfully only quick jolts.

Furball, electricity is odd, the more you get shocked the lower your immunity to it gets. It will conduct through you more easily, you will feel it more and it will be attracted to you more than before. I know what you mean because when I was a kid we had an electric fence for the horses and I've been shocked by that more times than I can remember.
Lizalexander, I've never cared enough to look, sorry.

That makes alot of sense. No one else I have asked have been able to explain it at all. I also grew up around horses and and electric fences.

only thing is dont use psi during lightning storms imm not sure if its true but ive read somewhere I don't know where that it can attract lightning
about the scared thing (only things i can think of is either you have a hypersencitivity to the massive amounts of energy being released or you have someone around you who could be naturally empathic (I don't know if i spelled that right) if they dont have up a sheild and you dont have one either you could be getting hit with their fear.... those are the only 2 things i can think of

I believe it was in this article that Peebrain stated I don't know much about lightning, but isn't it attracted to energy? Or something like that. So maybe you're giving of the same type of energy the lighting is and it repels away from you, causing the weird feeling.

We have antanae things attached to the highest point of most buildings to 'ground' the electricity current. This makes the electricity become neutral and not electricute anyone. Either way, even if it did or did not attract lightning, no one would be hurt. I really doubt that psi attracts lightning storms, though.

It is possible this is a sort of Telepathic effect because I wouldn't imagine anyone putting up Telepathic Shields for Lightning. You may also be just a little Electrophobic the same chill happens to me when I see a spider.

I'm not sure about attracting It but, I have made and dispersed(or blown away with areopk) thunderstorms. I use selfreplicating constructs for it. So some forms of psi may be able to create negative charges that lead to llightning. Or some psi could be positively charged and thus attract the lightning.

Or did you just make it up?
