I've heard that, when we're younger, we can hear higher-pitched frequencies. Then, as we get older, we're not as suseptable to hearing them any longer. Here: www.sonypictures.com/homevideo/themessengers/This is the site for the movie "the messengers". Once you're there, click on "enter the site" on the tool bar. Then click on "supernatural sense experience". Then choose the square that says "audio". It'll give you a mini quiz-type thing to see how high of frequencies you can hear. Just curious, but whenever you have the TV or the computer turned on, does anyone else hear things like what's on "the messengers" site? That high pitched frequency?

I'm suprised that you haven't heard of this before lol. It's nothing psionic. Like, in Australia, there is this annoying ringtone, called the Silent Ringtone, and it is designed so that people less that 21 years old (?) can't hear it. Google it to find out more lol, I can't be bothered explaining lol. (Disclaimer: I will not take any responsibilities for headaches or earaches or any other damage caused by the silent ringtone lol! )

We have that ringtone here, too. My friend played it for us and it gave me a headache X( Hahaha, I was trying the frequency thing for the first time a while ago and my mom couldn't hear a thing. But yeah, I believe it is 21 that you stop hearing it

I can hear a broader range of frequencies, and it is quite annoying.
Such as some people will be perfectly normal but a computer, [Usually more of a computer, not a laptop] causing the loud pitch

Just a random fact, if a TV is turned on, but muted, I wake up anyway because of the static noise. But, if i'm like sitting around somewhere, sometimes i hear this random ring in my left or right ear. I don't know what it is. It's just a random ring, and it only happens when i'm at my grandparents house. What do you think it is? (kinda high pitched, no one else hears it.)

Yeah I understand if you mean like, the 'sound' of silence... right? Like that really evilly pitched sound... Maybe I'm wrong but hey. That's weird how you can only hear it at your grandparents house... If you're at home, do you have electrical appliances? Because they might generate noise= not silence... =no high pitched sound (?)

That ringing in your ear when every thing is silent [Or you can have very loud noises and learn to "disect noise" and then you can hear it as well] can be one of two things
1. Its the echo in your ear, thats the scientific explanation. 2. Its a sound from some electronic device, also scientfic but the above one is what scientist people say it is.

BOO YAH! 21.1! (I'm 15) I know that I can also hear lower pitched sounds because of an exhibit at a science thing I went to. And yes I hear the sound when electronics are turned on.

That's weird how you can only hear it at your grandparents house... I know exactly what you mean! It's like you're sitting right next to a muted television. A really high frequency. Ugh. Sometimes it get so bad it hurts. And, of course, no one else hears it. Not even my little brothers. Hm... you think it has something to do with psi?
