psi pets?

I've read articles saying that you make a psi ball, mold it to shape and then program it and voila, you have a psi pet. I feels like there's something missing. Is that all there is to it? What's missing? I've just began making psiballs, so I've never made a psi pet. I wanted to get a straight answer on what to do before I start trying.

Do you want it to have artificial intelligence? If so that will probably be extremely hard...not to mention highly unethical.

Why do you need to be taught how to do it? Create a psiball and tell it I want you to be a cocker spaniel with a blue eye and a green eye etc. etc. etc. It's no different from creating any other construct.

P.S. I had a ferret Psi pet...but they really get boring after a while (no offence)

Iluveire is right, to an extent. It is more complicated than that, you do have to program it with different commands (such as follow me around and gather your own energy)

Creating a sentient (self aware) construct is indeed quite hard. I did it once, it took about a month to actually be able to speak (using telepathy) and then another to become aware of itself. It as expected became a rouge construct as it was programmed to be able to reprogram itself to become a more efficient and intelligent construct. I'm not sure how its unethical but it was an intresting experience.

Can anyone teach me how to make a Psi-pet with AI. I can already make a normal Psi-pet but i would like to learn AI, anyone that wants to help could you please PM me some instructions. Thanks.

so if i wanted to learn to make i psi pet i should learn to make visible psi balls? and then how would i go about programing it and what not if i cant even make a visible psi ball yet how long till you think i can make a psi pet

Hey, don't fret. Making visible psiballs is really really hard. I'm still a bit of a sceptic when it comes to flaring anyway (but that's another topic all together) even if it does exist flaring is hard. I can't do it. Neither can most people (I've never met someone who could flare on purpose, as in every time they tried).

Making a viable psiball is not hard, you just scan it, instead of flaring it. As soon as you know you've made a psiball (if you want to find out and not scan, just program it to be cold and throw it at a thermometer, or something of that nature) start programming them to do things (such as fly around the room etc.) and after you've got that down, program it to be a psipet (which may take a few tries to do it right, but that's no problem, I don't generally get complicated constructs right on the first try). It's near impossible to tel someone how long it will take to do anything. How long did it take you to learn to ride a bike? Took me 1 week. How long did it take you to learn how to swim? Took me 2 years. How about to speak English? I still havn't learned the stupid language very good (I just spell check a lot). You see were this is going?

Anyways, I am also very interested in psipets, however my skill is still seriously lacking Most of the constructs I make die within minutes. However I have a question. In speaking about AI, is it possible to create the pet and then duplicate your own personality, or rather a part of it to the pet?

Not so much as remaking your own personality, but rather program it to adopt your own personality.

If your constructs "die" quickly you need to practice shelling. And to your other question, yes I have done it.
