hey, i wonder if you can use psi pets to recall memory and skills that are deep in your mind by telepathically 'fetching' the memories needed. like if you want to solve a math problem, and you forgot how to do the problem because of malpractice, could you use your pet to go inside your mind and find a way to solve the problem if you've done it before. also, can i revive a pet if it is destroyed?

Why not? If you can program that good feel free to try and tell us what happened. I personally would just use a construct to do that, but a dog for example would be a great visualization!
Why would you revive it? Just reprogramme another blob of psi. I Guess you could just use the psi that was left over...Then again, what do you mean by destroyed? as in blown up or you just didn't reprogramme/recharge it and it stopped working? If it was the later you could just recharge/reprogramme it and it would probably be fine. The former on the other hand you would have to create a whole other one.

I'm not really familiar with memory stuff, though I can help with the pet thing. Depending on how simple the programming was and how said pet got destroyed, it may be easier to just make a new one. Toast is toast, and if it's not bebopping around because something a bit nastier than an energy drain got it, toast is about right.
As someone who likes to spend more time programming in furriness, little wet noses, and other tidbits of cuteness than things that make it useful, I do understand how you can get attached to a pet. If you can find the old pet with its programming intact, slowly feed it psi-sugar cubes or whatever floats your boat. Or do something you could picture a vet doing, if it fits well with the pet you made. Like I know that even with my liddle Natsu-chan's cuteness there is no vet in this town who would do work on a dragon so it kinda doesn't work well with her.
Somehow your title made me think of toy recalls and things of that sort, then I got this mental image of Kmart posting something about a psipet recall and started giggling. There's still a part of me that isn't quite used to this stuff.

... I agree with you Snowangel! I clicked ont the thread because I was like WHAT RECALL???
Lol...
And the way iluveire said 'just programme another blob of psi' reminded me of Flubber. Ah, good times.
(Sorry I didn't answer your question lol >.<)

lol... i needed a revive program because if i make a very advanced and complex pet with many commands, it would suck to re-do EVERYTHING and start from scratch.

Maybe have a construct with a copy of the programming in it (but not functioning) then set the program to function as needed.
Totally theory, I have no idea if it would work.
