Believe it or not, sadly a couple of days ago I made my first guardian construct. I have it linked to a few energy sources. The problem is it doesn't seem to be absorbing the amount of energy I programmed it to, this is weird because that is the only task it does not seem to be doing what I want it to, it is the simplest task to. Any tips?

Try programming that task in a different way.

I have tried but I can't seem to get this one task right. Has anyone got any ways that they get their construct to absorb energy?

Personally, I do not drain from energy sources anymore. When I used to however, I found a few quite useful methods.
Try to merge part of the construct with the energy source. This should cause it to sort of stretch without stretching. Basicly, the construct will are be once piece, but there will be two pieces. Hard to explain, but when it works, it works well.
Another method is the good old "Spin and act like a blackhole" trick. Spin the construct as fast as you can, and tell it to pull everything inward toward itself.
Cannot seem to recall the other methods I used, but those two are pretty good ones.

I thought you had a list of stars and you would link your constructs to stars. You could try making a shield around it that lets energy in but not out. That way if it moves through any psi, it will collect energy on it's own.

Correct, but this is about methods, not exact sources. Though having a group of over a thousand sources being used at random for a split second each and only drawing a tiny amount of energy is kinda cool. Allows you to get a lot of energy quickly without draining much from any single source, and it is very hart to cut you off from your sources that way.
What it seemed he was asking for was better ways to link it to a source, so that is what I responded with.

I would shell my construct and program it to gather energy or like vorn said make it spin and gather energy that way

What I am doing at the moment is kind of linking it to energy sources and making it drain them. Thank you Brilenus, I will try your method.
