Okay, user2m, first thing's first: when you form a psiball, you really are *programming* the psi to form into a psiball. So anyone who can create a psiball, can program it to do what they want.
About how to program ... well, everybody's programming technique is different. Since I am a computer programmer in real life, I find it easiest to phrase what I want the psiball to do and at the same time visualize it. This technique is generally called "conceptual programming" *(programming mainly by visualization). Many people find this the easiest way, but others like tactile programming (which is programming by feel).
So basically, you should try out both ways and see what works best for you. And while training, remember to NEVER let yourself think you can't do it. If you can form a psiball, you can program --- so just practice, practice, practice!

thank you so much edwardbear159 i've figured out how to make my psiballs hotter and colder with visualization. Hopefully I'll be making psipets in no time

I truly don't get what everybody likes so much about psi pets... Even though I made one at a time...except he wasn't really a pet. He was a "Don't come close or I fry your butt" sort of thing...

The only point I get in 'psipets' is when you get skilled enough to make an energy entity in the shape of a cat, which you or if you choose others, can see physically, and has sentience.

I agree with Dangpp, a psipet seems to be some sort of benchmark in programming.

True, psipets do represent sort of a leap in skill to the practicing psion. I know this because it was fairly recently that I was at this stage. Forming psiballs or constructs is one thing, and programming them to do some fairly simple stuff is another, but actually forming a construct and programming it to have sentience and follow your orders --- well, that's something else entirely.
Plus, psipets are just cool. I have formed five so far, and I still have three of them at this exact moment. (If anyone's interested, the psipets I've had are a cat named Oakpelt from the warriors series, a Yuuzhan Vong warrior, an elven hunter who carries a longbow around with him, an ice elemental, and some other weird creature that I can't describe that well. Only the cat, the warrior, and the hunter remain, because the other two sort of dissipated.)
P.S. Awesome job, user2m!

:)Well psipets can be fun and useful. They can play with you or give you energy when you need it. But i just like the idea of a pet:)

Not a problem. Just remember not to do it any more. Use the modify button in the top right hand corner of the post you want to edit.
