Okay, another stupid construct idea from me. Basically, the other night I was listening to my iPod for a few hours. When I finally decided to go to sleep, I took out the earbuds and lied down. But it was weird, it felt like there were still earbuds in my ears. Then I imagined holding an iPod in my hands and scrolling through the menu and stuff, and I could actually kind of hear a song playing. So I just thought it would be cool if I could learn to control this.

This isn't really a psionic skill. The feeling of still having the earbuds in is natural. It's like when you wear a hat for a long time and then take it off and you still feel it on your head.
If you listened to the songs for hours, you probably just memorized it...
People have tried making up many theories for psiPods before, so maybe you could start working on a tech to get it working?

Who needs this anyway? It's much easier to train your mind to play back what it hears. I personally can play songs played by Nightwish, Within Temptation, and almost every other song I've heard, at about half normal listening volume, in my head. Sure it's not the full blast volume people usually like, but it's just about half that. Your not totally deaf to the outside, and it does no damage to your ears.

Yeah, you probably just memorized the songs. I nearly constantly play all the songs I memorized in my head without meaning to, so it's not likely it actually has anything to do with psi, just be sure you can stop it.

Nevertheless, it is a cool idea, and a good exercise in programming if you want some more practice. After I first read this thread I went off into my room, meditated for a while, and formed a construct that was similar to that, except that it could sort of download the exact text of any book I've ever read from my subconscious memory and sort of replay it in my head. (Yes, I really love to read.)
I just tried it out with "Fury" (in the Star Wars Legacy of the Force series), and it works really well; I can see every single page of that book very clearly in my head. This is quite something because I don't normally have a very good memory. And since I like to read books over and over again, I will never have to carry a book around with me again (at least, not one I've read before) --- I have it stored in my subconscious mind!
Maybe I will be making some modifications to my construct soon, so that it can maybe extract information from other people's subconscious minds, so that I can also mentally read books that I haven't read before but that other people have. Do you think that would work?
Anyway, thanks for the idea, psioclad!

Really I don't see the need to do things when your own body can do them easily on their own. With telepathy you can easily playback any thoughts or things you hear. This can be very useful, when mastered, to repeat back exactly what you hear page by page, word by word. And what you were doing was just another way of telling your mind to replay what it's heard, not create a construct.
