If you want a basic yet effective shielding technique then simply charge your aura/energy field and visualize and make the energy in and above your field to become tough and impermeable like marble. Then program the shield to rotate around you like the earth rotates on its axis.

well i got once attaked so bad that the only thing i could do was to get drunk, not the best idea but the attacker was beyond my powers. it wasn't a headache it was like my crown was over charged really bad tll the point of explosion or something, to much energy anyway

I say the best way to tell if you've made a shield (if you're not a good scanner and if you don't trust your scanning abilities) is to have someone scan you (real-time).

attacked? well, me too... but i am shure that that was not concious attack... and it was really unpleasant. i made something that is not shield, but protects me good enough. and i will make a shield to have an extra protection. it should be ok in future i think i will made a marble shield like xpwarrior3 sad.

I have been the subject of psychic attacks; there is a strange figure following me, sometime a gaunt man, sometimes just a shadow, but I can feel it probing my mind, testing my defenses, but I can only make a minor, weak bubble shield. Help me please!

I am not too good at shields, but have an idea you could try anyway. Try gathering a large orb of energy around yourself, and then envision it spreading throughout your body. When your whole body is filled with energy, make it turn translucent, as well as your body. If you do it correctly, people should not notice you as easily, and it might stop what is happening. If it does not, then I am unable to help further. Hope it helps though.

I think it works; but I cannot be sure until the next time the spirit/phantom/entity comes after me; those probes or whatever they are make me almost collapse trying to fight it off.

I love medieval fairs and fantasy novels. I made a shield once that was in the form of armor. it seemed to work but I do not know anyone who is good enough at psi to check it.
