Before i shield myself i always channel energy so i dont use my own unless there is no time
I use my 8th chakra ( just above your head ) and imagine a thread spiraling down your body to your earth star chakra ( below your feet ) i then imagine a thread coming up from my earth star chakra criss-crossing the original thread till it meets the 8th chakra again. I then imagine a blue bubble shield around me.
