i am planning on writing a shielding article on the main site and would like to make it the best i can. One of the best ways to write a good article like this is to get some varied info. Because of this i would like you to answer the following questionnaire: Why is shielding important? What are your favorite shields? When should you learn to shield? Is a shell a shield around your work? Extra: would you like me to add the following animations to the article? www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0rSgTFzvgIwww.youtube.com/watch?v=e45nPi9s2Ls

1) Shielding is important for many reasons, and it depends on who you are as to why you should shield. For empaths/telepaths, sometimes shielding is one of the only things that keeps you sane! For other psions it's a little less important. You should still know, because it is useful in a combat situation.
2) Favourite shields? Skin shields, definitely. Strip shields (shields programmed to strip constructs/thoughts/emotions of meaning, making them just random bits of psi), absorption shields (programmed to absorb psi). Those shields make up my daily matrix. I like cloaking shields a lot though.
3) When? I learned to shield when I began. I went straight from psiballs to shields. I think this is pretty good. Shields are really practical, so I'd suggest learning them right off the bat.
4) I don't think so. Shielding and shelling are two separate things. Shields are basically large constructs designed to protect whatever is in them. Shelling is just compacting psi around a construct. It doesn't have any special programming.
YES! Animations are very helpful!

sheilding is important because when i start out using psi you attract negative energy and if you aren't protected you might get hurt.
My favorite sheilds are the glamour sheild, force bubble, stamper, and a thread sheild with many different programs interwieved through it.
Like fearn i learned to sheild after i learned to make psiballs. So starting soon is good
I agree with Fearn again shelling is made to hold a construct together. But a sheild is made to protect remove or block.

Shielding is important because anything may attack your mind, intended or not. My favourite shield is my own one which retaliates with double power, only to be used for sparring purposes. I learned to shield right after learning how to make a psi ball. One should learn as soon as he/she can. I personally don't think a shell is a shield around ones work, because a shell ismore like a protective layer of dense energy to keep energy in, whereas a shield is a construct to protect you from outside influences, such as malevolent constructs and unintentional draining.
