Hi,
I'm pretty new here so don't kill me for making newbie remarks or questions please..
I've read a bit about energy healing and I couldn't get past the fact that other healing beliefs seem to have the same base as healing with your psi energy. That is just directing your energy to someone or someone's pain area to heal the specific pain or disease. A friend of mine practices reiki. He has only completed the first level which means he can already direct his energy to where he wants and try to heal people. But what troubles me is that learning reiki seems to cost a lot of money. If you wa nt to learn to the last level you ultimately pay more than 1000 dollars for it. I told him I found this rather malicious and smelled like easy money making. His explanation was that they just wanted to protect the knowledge this way from just everyone and ask money to get people who are realy interested and want to make the effort..
I for a start wouldn't pay this money because of moral beliefs. How do you believe about paying for something like this? And can the same be reached with energy healing and self-training?

You shouldn't have to pay to learn stuff like this. It's just wrong. The people are just trying to earn a quick buck. (or 1,000 bucks) Sure, they need money, but it shouldn't cost $1,000 just to learn. and I do believe you can cure quite a lot of stuff with energy healing, but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Paying money for tutelage in psi is absurd, if you have the talent, its all the payment that an instructor should ever need. Healing, through psi or other less medicinal methods, is a cause, something to fight for and believe in, not something you should pay money to recieve. Its a kindness, and a gift. Does a parent charge their child every time they give the kid medicine? Its beneficial for the child, but only something the parent can really administer. Much like the monetary cost to medicine, healing often comes at the cost of your own energy. However, unlike money, giving that energy away for the result is rarely a true loss to the healer, depending on the form of healing.
Don't pay for that kind of thing, find a willing instructor, they may well know significantly more than someone who demands money anyways.
