Well maybe he was crazy but he created something pretty interesting. It's something about the water beating upon the head through the crown charka that someone suggested might have given him the idea. And I am 99% sure he had nothing to do with astral projection. To say the least, the ideas of astral projection and spirit guides didn't seem to be well known back then, but then again it doesn't mean he did no thave those experiences. I get the feeling more so that he probably had something pop out from his subconious self.

Actually, I tried not to mention it, but the specific hands on is where the major charkas appear.

That makes more sense about the hands and the chakras for healing. If it's the subconscious that can activate it then a little chat and charging up with some psi might do the trick. I would need a "subject" to test if they feel that feeling of being filled with energy. Maybe the attunement is just the use of psi, after all how many people who don't know about psi might stumble upon it and think of it different then we do now. After all, the doctor meditated for 21 days. Psion or not, that can and will increase your power in all skills. Moving psi around in mass quantities would be easy at that point.

From what I understand-Deeksha is the transfer of divine energy- done by an enlightened person.It involves the laying of hands on the crown of the head(of Deeksha recipient),which is supposed to open the crown chakra & sort of activates the whole chakra system.I have never had one,but have read a little about it.Its spelt Diksha sometimes also-originates in India I think,not sure...

That's really interesing lola, I think it is possibly something similar. If I ever get a chance to experience I shall and I compare notes.

yeah, the attunement really helps, because it really enables you to access the energy from all around you. but what is great about reiki is that it goes for the highest good. where you most need healing that is where it goes. sometimes people get a reiki attunement, even after finishing reiki master and such. it just really helps increase, you know?

Lady Takara, I recently received the Reiki Level I attunement as well!

Nice to meet another Reiki Level I person!!


My goal right now is to get the Level II attunement, then after that, the Master level eventually, if it is necessary for me to have that to be an even more open channel.

With the Reiki Level II attunement, you can distance heal, and even minister to people in the past as well as the future, so I am very excited about that.

I noticed that after my Reiki Level I attunement, that my sister's dogs just soak up all the love energy coming from me. The one dog that never liked anyone to pet him before actually let me pet him for the first time this past Sunday. I was attuned the weekend before!

When I was at the Mind/Body/Spirit Expo last weekend, I had a photograph of my aura taken with Kirlain photography. My aura was all Purple!! The person taken the photography said it was not common for her to see that, but when I told her I was just attuned in Reiki, she said, "Ahhhhhhh, okay, that explains it".

Well I've been attuned to level I Reiki, and just found a good website that is selling Attunement DVD's for all the levels--- including Psychic attunement (opening up the 3rd eye I guess) The DVD's are hosted by Steve Murray (Reiki Master) www.healingreiki.com/reiki/All_DVDs-3-1.html

He beleives anyone can be attuned by distance attuning, because Reiki knows no time---everything is NOW. He hosts the entire DVD, gives the intial introductions to Reiki, and explains it, then gives you the Attunement process (which lasts about 15 minutes. He gives these attunements to you on DVD in natural surroundings that are known to have high energy vibrations. The Pacific Ocean is one of the areas I think on the Level II CD.

The Level I REiki Attunement CD is $27.95, and all other levels, (including the Psychic opening CD) are $29.95. I just now bought all three of them online. UPS shipping is around $6.95.

When they come in in 7-9 days from now, I'll be going through the Level II first and will fill you all in on what I experence through each.

The Psychic opening one should be interesting, but I am very greatful to only end up paying $29.95 for a Reiki Level II attunement that would normally cost me $275. where I live.

The website doesnt' care that he is charging affordable prices, because he says it is high time that Reiki be affordable to everyone so that healing energy can be more widespread. He's got a point, because there is alot of negativity in the World right now-- especially in politics and wars, and natural disasters with people needing massive amounts of healing more than ever .

He will charge another $20.00 for an official certificiate if you want to go into business with Reiki and open up a healing practice, or if you just want a certificate to prove you are attuned. He will not issue these certificates unless you complete a little mini Reiki course to prove you went through the DVD attunement. The mini course is free.

P.S. With Reiki Level I , you can give Reiki to all animals, plants, the Earth, people and yourself.

My one Reiki friend who has her own shop, gives Reiki sessions to horses. Horses respond alot to Reiki energy. They are sensitive animals.

I know my sister's shelties respond alot to the Reiki I give them too, and I read that Cats do as well-- Cats soak it up like they are in a kitty Spa....lol

Well, I purchased three attunement DVD's for $19.95 each.
Reiki Master Steven Murray gives the attunements in them. You learn the symbols in the Reiki II attunement DVD.

All the attunements take place with Steven in natural locations that have alot of energy or vortexes. The Reiki II attunement is given at the Pacific Ocean coast. You stare into a large quartz crystal the camera focus's in on and you follow his instructions on how to move your hands.

I did them both 2-3 times each to unblock my channels better.

I felt something positive happened. The next morning laying in bed, I tried out my Reiki II attunement by sending distance healing all over the planet. I sent Reiki to all hurting animals (polar bears, dolphins, whales, dogs, cats, etc) and to the Earth, and suffering peoples.

After I was finished, I felt this inner instinct to stick my arm out of the bed and face my palm upwards. I did this, and then started feeling an electrical prickly sensation all throughout my left palm. It went on for several minutes, so I kept my arm out to see how long it would last.

Now when I want to gather Reiki energy, I find it easy to imagine this Universal Energy enter my crown chakra and form in my palms. I put my palms together, and can now feel the energy, as though it were some magnetic force. Then I will direct my palms to where I want to send it.




If you want to try these DVD's out, I would say from my experience that they are worth it, and very affordable, and I have noticed an increase sensation in my palms when I practice reiki now.

A little Usui Reiki History.

Dr. Mikao Usui (1865-1926) was a teacher who studied various philosophies of the world looking for the hands-on healing technique as described in scripture. Dr. Usui studied the Lotus sutras of Japan, the Chinese sutras, and finally the Sanskrit sutras of Tibet, ancient records that date back almost 3,000 years. He learned that Buddha healed the lame and the blind as Christ did through divine love. However, Usui felt that he lacked the physical strength and spiritual empowerment to use this new knowledge.

Dr. Usui was most likely a spiritualist and psychic. People who do his kind of work were called Rei Jyutu Ka which means, people who have spiritual skill. It was during his activities as a spiritualist that he rediscovered Reiki on Kurama-yama, a sacred mountain outside Kyoto. It was at this time that he entered a 21 day fast and meditation, where he attained enlightenment and received the four symbols that are introduced to Reiki Level 2 students today.

He established a healing society in Tokyo in 1922 and started giving treatments. Usui created the three degrees or ranks of Reiki which he called Shoden (First Teaching) Okuden (Inner Teaching) and Shinpiden (Mystery Teaching). He moved to Nakano, Tokyo in 1925 and expanded his healing center.

Dr. Usui was well known for his healing abilities and was often invited to local cities to speak and do healing work. He gathered a following of what would become the first sixteen masters of Usui lineage, one of who was Dr. Chujiro Hayashi (1878-1941), a retired naval officer who was pivotal in carrying on Usui's tradition.

Dr. Hayashi was given the attunements for all three Reiki degrees by Dr. Usui in 1925 when Dr. Hayashi was age 47 and just one year before Dr. Usui passed on. Dr. Hayashi subsequently trained thirteen masters. One of those maters was Hawayo Takata (1900-1980), who initially came to Hayashi for healing, was profoundly effected, and embraced Reiki as her life work. She is credited with bringing the Reiki teachings to America in the 1970's. At the time of her death she trained twenty-two Reiki Masters who carefully preserved the Reiki tradition, perpetuating this simple, natural, safe method of healing that recognizes that the spirit, or life force energy, must be healthy for the physical body to be healthy.
