~The greatest damage is that done to yourself.~
Nerve Burn:
Its described as a burning or numbing of a body part which has over used energy. It impedes your ability to do energy manipulation, and your energy slows as it passes through the areas affected. This phenomenon can be explained through knowledge of the energy body.
I want you to liken your energy pathways and your body's energy to your veins and arteries and your blood, for the purposes of the article. These energy veins are a network of condensed energy tubes which helps circulate your energy. These can expand to let more energy through, or contract to let less through.
During energy work, the energy moving through you seems to have a friction effect on the pathways, causing them to seemingly heat. If you push too much energy out at one time, the pathways expand too far, and the energy veins rip and tear at the seams. If you push for too long, the heat builds up, causing the pathways harm.
When damage has occurred the pathways contract smaller than usual, to keep the friction to a minimum, so the healing process is quicker. When you push energy through the pathways in this state, they feel burned because the pathways have gotten used to that amount of flow, and the healing is hampered. Normal flow will return in time.
Healing Nerve Burn:
There are of course ways to reduce the risk of nerve burn, like keeping practice time to a reasonable amount, or slowing down on your energy output. But sometimes you feel as though what you are doing needs to be done, and you continue to use your energy, even though the first tingles of nerve burn have affected you. So now you need to heal it.
First off, nerve burn is best treated by someone else, as the energy you control would move through the affected pathways, causing harm to what your trying to heal. But, other than that, treating it in yourself and in other people takes pretty much the same course of action.
First, if there is body tissue beyond what was burned, like if it was burned at the elbow, then create a temporary pathway outside the body, to allow the body's energy to reach those parts. To create a pathway outside the body, create a replica of the body’s energy vein, and switch the energy current over to it. Now drain the energy veins in the damaged part of all energy, so they are flat and empty.
Pour a cool, healing, liquid energy, which is also made out of the same energy as the energy pathways, into the body’s pathway, until it is in a comfortable size. Tell the healing energy to absorb the damaged parts, and replace them with itself, until the cool energy in the energy vein has replaced the damaged parts, and the damaged parts now are the liquid. Remove and dispose of the new liquid.
Tell the new parts of the pathway to be sturdy enough to allow a current pass through it, and reconnect what you were working on to the rest of the body. This will speed recovery, and not harm the energy body in the slightest.
Using Nerve Burn:
You can train to make your energy pathways larger by using nerve burn. Since your energy pathways expand beyond their normal limits during nerve burn, they temporarily get used to these larger amounts of energy. If you stop pushing energy through at the first signs of nerve burn, they will contract much less to heal themselves. Immediately healing them with a flow of healing energy at body temperature through the energy veins, will make them barely contract at all.
By pushing your energy pathways beyond their limits nightly, and then healing them with last paragraphs technique, they will stay at this larger size. If you keep this up, the limits of the energy which can pass through your system will be greatly increased. But the key is nightly, or at least bi-nightly, because if they are left to pump the normal amount for too long, they will eventually return to normal size.
Warning: This next part is highly anti-recommended, especially if you are trying the aforementioned technique..
During the initial stages of nerve burn, when you are still using the energy causing the harm, your energy pathways are expanded beyond their normal limit. Now you can make a choice to continue and push further.
Your pathways are already ripped at the seams, and if you continue, they will rip more, letting you push more through. You can greatly add to the amount you push out, and eventually, the pain of the nerve burn will be gone temporarily, because the nerves are overloaded. The amount of energy you can push through at a time at the peak of your energy output from this technique will be greater than the amount you can safely push out in a month of practicing the other.
But this has great drawbacks as well as temporarily great power. The moment you stop pushing more amounts of energy through your pathways, the pain of nerve burn comes back, stronger than ever, in some cases stopping you entirely from continuing the energy work you were doing. Any attempts to push energy through will be met with a burning sensation, and a strong one at that. In most cases the energy veins will be left with so little useable energy, they contract to a size which will allow only the smallest amount of energy through.
Those doing the first technique to improve will lose nearly all they had accomplished.
But in the second to worst case, you will experience something which I call nerve lockup.
Nerve Lockup:
This happens when you are left with so little energy for the pathways left, that they cannot let any energy through at all. The best way to describe it to you is that the energy in that part of you feels like dead weight. No energy will pass through it at all, but because of the natural flow you would usually feel, you notice it is not responsive all the time. The rest of your energy, in response to being blocked off, will move to the other side of your body, especially when you try to move energy into the affected area. You will feel off balance, and your energy work will suffer for it.
Now, the blocking isn’t only your energy pathways not being able to move it, but your body puts a lock on it, something which makes you not be able to control the energy in that lock, but it heals naturally. The lock will come off naturally when it is healed enough to work like a normal energy pathway. This time table can be any where from a few weeks to a few months, maybe even a year, but I have never experienced one so long.
There is a way to remove that lock, but one cannot do it on oneself, or at least, not be able to begin the unlocking sequence. I will not teach it publicly, because damage to an energy pathway in that state may cause irreparable harm.
I am, at the time of this writing, in the late stages of nerve lockup. This is the third time I am in this state, and this is the first time I have found how to unlock it. It is a complicated process, and it was showed to me in the astral. I have taken over the healing process for my body, so my work will not slow. My right arm (the part damaged) feels elastic. It will not be normal for at least another week.
Should you ever truly need to know how to unlock a body part, I will teach, but unless it is very urgent, and I can trust you not to abuse your body like that again in the near future, I won’t even unlock your body myself.
