I like to use weighted ankle and wrist straps, but ive never used weighted clothing. Mercury works quite well too, but its messy, be sure to have some anti-leak plastic bags I'm alarmed. VERY alarmed. I hope you meant it as a joke, because 'anti-leak plastic bags' won't suffice for mercury... you could get mercury poisoning if the bag gets a hole in it and leaks... gosh. I seriously do hope you meant it as a joke...

"Weighted vests are becoming a very popular form, adding weight around the entire core to for the most part simulate the fat storage areas of the human body. It is very useful for adding weight to limb-centric movements, and for handling great weights. Due to the large area available, it can also handle more weights.
If well-affixed, it is the safest most natural means of mimicking added body mass without unbalancing the body's muscles. They can be used to add resistance to almost any whole-body movement. Most common is use in pullups, dips, pushups (normal and handstand), squats and single leg squats.
One problem with some weighted vests is that due to tightness in the shoulder girdle, in movements like pullups or high range of motion pushups, the vest can be shearing, either damaging the person or in some cases, the vest itself being slowly torn away. This can also be seen as an advantage, however, in those who wish to limit their range of motion due to lack of strength or flexibility, to avoid injury. The limitations on front and back bending of the core is for example, contrasted by ergonomic construction to encourage good posture in modern weighted vests such as the X-Vest.
While not helpful in limb extension in movements such as kicks, it can still be beneficial to train with a weighted vest. As kicks are done balancing on one leg, this added weight on the leg will teach better balance and handling of forces during kicks. This is notable in jump kicks, though obviously these would only be done after great experience, with very low weights in a controlled manner."

Only if the person can handle that stress. Personally, I wouldn't be able to. I'd start out with 10 lb. arm and anklet weighted clothing. And maybe a 20-30 lb. vest. But anyways, yea, start out slowly and work your way up.

If mercury gets into your blood it poisons you. They used to use it for fillings to.
