Empathy + shield

I'm not an empath, I've only experienced empathy once, But I was curious if it's normal for empaths to be able to create their own shields.

also another question, if another psychic created an empathy shield, and sent it to someone else, would that help, or just make them aware of the shield-creators emotions?

it's not very smart to learn empathy without learning to shield.
And I guess if done correctly, that shield made by another psion would help

I'm natural at empathy and I can make a decent sheild. I can turn it on or off with my head though.

i've only experienced my empathic abilities a couple of times...i can't realy control it very well.
