charles rangal for the third time is proposing to bring back the draft for persons between 18-42 to help invasions of north korea, iran, and iraq. i for one oppose this and so do most americans. what do you think.

they never got rid of it because all males have to sign up for it when they turn 18. If they decided to use it though i would say thats a load of crap.

I'd definitely say they have no right. I am not a political person, but I feel that the draft goes against what this country was founded on. Of course, this country really isn't much of a democracy, but that is just my opinion.

Load-a-Bull****. They have absolutely no right to send untrained "Young Adults" into a war zone, and have them sacrificing their lives with no input on the situation what so ever.

I guess most would say I'm overly cranky when it comes to the government. I just don't see the purpose behind most of their laws and ways. There always seems to be too much paperwork to do, and nothing really getting done.
One example would be the US military strategy, the US develops weapons such as the MOAB {Massive Ordinance Air Blast / Mother Of All Bombs} as an intimidation factor, in order to get into the head of the enemy and force them to see the overwhelming odds they're against... It just seems to me that they would rather send in the boys on the ground and risk american lives when a simple bombing run could have stopped many battles before they began.
Sorry for the rant guys =/ This is my soft spot.

They discharged some language guy because he was gay, then they started whinin' about how they didn't have enough translators.
It's ridiculous.
Haven't you ever heard of "don't ask, don't tell?" That's because if they find out you're gay, they discharge you.
BTW: I think they have the right to do the draft (it's all about power n authority, something they have ALL of since it's literally their country), but it's still horribly wrong and morally lacking

could you get out of the draft by saying its agasinst your religeon to kill someone? or would they just put you in another department like medical or computer tech?

They do not let you out of a draft for relgious reasons however if you are drafted and have a legit reason the will put you in a non combat job.Also Load-a-Bull****. When you are drafted they dont just put you straght on a TOD you still go through basic. |

But it wouldn't bother me to much. Actually it would, because it isn't right. But I can't join. I'm not allowed to.
One) genetic disease that makes me really acceptable to sickness
Two) it is still debatable whether or not I need medicine, but if I do, I have to take it every day and I can't be without it, and if I get sick, I have to be on surpluss because it's replacing a horomone that is needed for the body, cortisol, which my body either makes way to much or two little. my horomones are very screwed up. and army peeps wouldn't wanna deal with it, and I'm already on enough medicine already
three) if you had ADD or ADHD and you are on medicine for it, then you can't be in
