How would they judge the qualifications of the teachers? The realm of psychic phenomenon is still really disputed and the government and most science doesn't recognize it as even existing and yet you expect it to be taught in schools? Let's focus on getting it cemented and believed in first before you even think of attempting to get it taught in school.

I disagree with teaching for the pure fact...we alreayd have bullies now...we dotn need bullies with powers.... I bet lots of the bullies of nowadays would think it stupid and immature. On the otherhand since bullies bully people sometimes because they are shy, that might be all the more reason to join. It would take awhile for bullies to learn how to harm people with psi. The only psi bullies I can think of are psions, (like on this site), that are a reject from society and get bullied themselves. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Oh and as for the psi school idea I can pretty much know how to get a respectable class. Get them to attempt to feel psi in the first class. Depending on the students reactions when they fail or if they suceed then you will be able to tell who wants to learn it and will be dedicated, who just wants to take down their enemy with a gigantopowerblast, or someone who totally doesnt believe in this stuff and thinks it's all !@#*.

Im guessing your picked on by bullies, you have to stand up to them in a way were people will respect you and not fear you. Try becoming friends with people, when in highschool I was friends with everyone so no one would even try to mess with me. If they did, I'd have 100's of people then behind me plus they seen what I did when someone else tried to act tough.
Btw PsiDan, did you mean all Psions are rejects or just some because you cant count all Psions as Rejects. ~Jano

No, I'm not at all saying all psions are rejects. I'm saying. Some psions had a hard time with school and maybe other people and that's how they got started in psi. I guess you could say I got started this way since when I heard that everyone has the psionic talent inside them I wanted at first to blast my enemies at school with a ice ball. Of course I've matured from then though.

Ah I see. Well, I would say I wish I could say I know how you feel but I can not seeing as I was a bit of the opposite. The reason I got into Psionics was for my natural talents and I looked them up.

I think meditation classes are good, and just like relaxation and stuff, and optional psionic stuff would be a good idea for a class. Like, instead of a solid subject like English maths or science etc, it should be like, a PD (personal development) class or something. =D

I say yes, because I Think it should be taught for only mature students , so they can understand psi more and take mini short lessons like meditation and basic techniques.

I'm not so sure about psionics being taught in schools but meditation should. It will increase the students mental concentration for the other subjects. You dont have to just meditate for psionics you know.

Well, thinking of what I was able to do after my first month of psi training, and then thinking how I would have applied those abilities if I'd had them when I was 10 or something... I'm glad I didn't start until I did. Also, it would be just too hard to get good teachers in this, since at the moment none of these skills are common enough to have a teacher in every school. Perhaps not at regular schools, but it would be nice to be taught by someone in person, or to teach in person. (There's an abandoned school near my place that will be for sale in 4 years... hint hint)

Sounds interesting... I guess the gradeing system would be based on participation and effort.
I like the sound of being taught psi in school

I think it should, but as an elective or something, not a mandatory class.
