big public plan!

i read a thread on tkforums that was about showing the public what we can do. it was supposed to be many psions making a gigantic visible psi ball above or near a worldwide landmark for all to see! the thread stopped where everybody was approving the idea. this was 3 years ago. i want to revive this plan. who likes it? who wants to help plan and prepare it?

From my experience, these things tend not to work at all. It would be cool, but one has to be realistic.

well its not like we are exposing ourselves. whats the problem? it would be organized thoroughly. the only thing i see that could go wrong is the human reaction. even that wouldnt be such a big deal.

Quick question related to this: Who here has made something flare, and can do it any any point in time with no effort? Who here can do it with any amount of energy, while keeping it stable?

I certainly cannot do either of those, and you will need that to happen for it to work. If you can point me to someone who can do that, perhaps I can even learn a few things.

It isnt a fact of yes- that would be so cool or no- it is so dumb, it is a question of who can do it and the point of it.

Sure, people can approve the idea, but when it comes down to it, it just sounds pointless. You'd need ALOT of people who are able to flare on command and, as Brilenus said, they're few and far between.

Apart from that, even if someone did try to organize something like this, how many would actually follow through with it? It sounds like one of those ideas that sounds fantastic on paper and then flops when it's acted on.

I can flare, but it's usually for maybe one second or half a second, not very long at all. I couldn't possibly hold that energy for more than that. I don't see how it would work out, and I think it's a dumb idea.

well that is where a chat room would be held for learning to flare. it would be practiced until the majority can flare. (i know a few who can teach to flare) its not at all complicated. a few times in my earlier training i focused only on flaring and accomplished blurring in a week or so.

as for the flopping i can only hope the people who i pick are responsible enough to show.

besides, this will be postponed unless i forget since im in the process of moving (i wont have a WLAN connection anymore).

Still, the ability to maintain a flared construct is extremely hard. If you think you can go ahead, but I don't want to be involved. It'll be almost impossible and extremely difficult. I can flare for a second or two, but not for very long.
