Psi movie?

what would you think about a movie that was based on psionics?

it would be cool, but just a thought:
What if people didn't take well to it? What if they related it to "witchcraft" or something like this? And what if, because the movie would be a true story, some religeous groups got all fired up for a "witch hunt"? Where would that leave us Psions?

It would all depend on how Psionics was portrayed in the movie.

It was a hypothetical quesiton, I know. ;D

I've saw two related Psi movies, Indigo, and The last mimzy, and I know Psions aren't the same as indigo children but Indigo children do use psi... If you're into it, maybe you'll find it interesting...

Sounds neat at first, but then again Hollywood probably would be unable to resist exaggerating anything and everything they could think of. When they ran out of ideas they would go read some fluff books and copy... I mean, draw... from them. Then again they might make it so cheesy and fake it would make for some good entertainment.

depends... I'm not sure how far pionic abilities can go, but I think the abilities should be a bit exaggerated to make it. But that's mainly because I don't think it will be fun to watch a movie and see some guy train in psi and be able to move a pencil in the end of the movie. It should however not go as far as world destruction.

Still, it could be cool. And I don't think many people wouf actually believe it all truly exists when a movie is made about psi. There many movies about magic in many ways, you don't see many religious groups hunting for people who use magic, right?

If they make a movie based on the game Psi-Ops, it would have a good story, and be based around psi. Not very realistly though.

When you said Psi related, do you mean like Heroes then, with the power amplified like 100x times?
If not it would be quite a fun parody, first you watch the Heroes episodes. Then you watch the movie with the real skills,with the none amplified. One part would be like:

"Don't MESS WITH ME!!, Because I can make a PSIBALL!!"
"Okey.. what can it do?
"I can make PAPER SPIN!!"

It would be awesome if OUR site was chosen to be in the movie, because i would be honoured, and so would everyone else. I think the parody idea is great, but make it in a serious way though. I mean, since we're using cameras and such, shouldn't people be able to see the psi balls?

that depends Cu, the site has member across the US and in other countrys it would take weeks to find everyone. plus most of us have no acting talent you included
