either a glitch in the system with the guest count or sometimes we gain a ton of guests and very few will join. I will say that this last summer has been the most busiest summer I have ever seen for this site. We gain tons and tons of members in a very short amount of time.

lurkers are people that have never posted and have been on the site for some time, generally I cut it off at a year who never will be active, but "lurker" around the site, inflating the member count.
