Sooooo, Day one, it is cold here in Base Camp and.... ;D
More seriously:
Two weeks ago I get variously prodded, poked, and yanked unceremoniously out of my comfort zone. While bemoaning my fate to a friend, she suggested using psi-balls as a way of learning to work with my energies. Having no experience of this, and being fairly bad at doing the exercise she suggested, I trawled the net for info (I'm a teacher - I like to research!) and ended up here. Being told *exactly* the same exercises, plus a few more ;D
I've tried to feel psi a few times now, and I get a tingling in my hands. I've been feeling a tingling at the top of my head for a couple of years now (not all the time!). I can just about feel something when I put my hands close together, but I can't direct the energy or feel it in other places.
My current aims: to be able to feel psi on demand, to move it around my body, and to produce a tangible psi-ball.
More entries as events warrant! :-)

Tried to sense psi this morning, but no luck - possibly due to me still being very tired and wired from going out last night. This afternoon when I came in I was trying to see my aura, by concentrating on my fingers. I can see a fuzziness around the edges, which is getting more pronounced. I don't think that it is after-image, because I can see them as well. Anyway, by concentrating on trying to see my aura, I felt a big pain on the top of my head, where I tend to feel crystal energies (on the top, just at the back), and could suddenly sense a small amount of psi in my hands. I then took my quartz crystal point and spent a little bit of time stroking the surface of my hand, making my palms twitch. However, the crystal was a good centimetre or so above my palm, so it was the energy that was making my hands twitch! Yay! I did something!!!! ;D It might not be a lot, but at least it's a start. Now I need to work on amping it up. It seems that concentrating on trying to see my aura helped me to sense the psi, so I'm going to look at developing other skills rather than simply concentrating on the psi ball. That will still be my major objective for the while, but doing other things might help it along. The crystal also helped me sense it, so I'll experiment with a few more things along those lines. Now I must decide on what other things to try training in!

I've been thinking about other skills to be working on as I try to get my basic psi sensing up to scratch. Last night I tried APing, and it didn't go very well at all! Firstly, my bedroom is really really cold at the moment, so even with two hot water bottles, I was lying there, trying to relax, and instead feeling drafts and figeting. Then I hadn't had a large amount of sleep last night, so I was trying not to doze off. Eventually I gave up and just zonked out. I'll try again tonight. I haven't had any time today so far to do any practice - I can do an hour or so later. At school I'm too busy teaching to sneak in a few minutes! ;D However, I did come up with one reason why I find it hard to meditate, so I'm going to try "giving myself permission" to relax and meditate and see if that helps. Worth a try!

I don't like to comment too much on people's logs, but this is important. Astral projection is a very hard skill to learn and very advance for newbies. It requires that you know yourself pretty well, have no fear of leaving your body and a good grip on using and understand psi. I would practice empathy/ telepathy/ remote viewing before trying aping.

Fair enough! I'll try some of the others (although I don't particularly want to develop empathy too much at present because of my job - it's hard enough as it is without picking up on the kids' emotions all the time). Last night I tried meditating, and it did OK, but not brilliantly. Need to just keep trying - no immediate results, it seems! I've had my quartz point crystal in my pocket today, and I've been feeling psi energies quite strongly as a result, although no progress as yet on directing them. I'll have a go at some other skills tonight, and the usual psi-ball practise. Just plugging away at it seems to be the only way!

I haven't got anywhere the past few days - can't feel anything, let alone direct it or manipulate it I've also had massive headaches, which only went away after tons of sleep and ibruprofen. This may or may not be connected. It may also be the fact that I'm occasionally allergic to children - occupational hazards to my immune system ;D The really irritating part is that I know that it is just out there, ready and waiting to flood in. I just have to sensitise myself to it. Grr! {sounds of frustration audible from south-west England} Oh well. Nothing else I can do except hang in there and keep trying. It gets a little annoying when I keep hearing tales of people who seem to do it naturally without any problems. I don't resent them, just the fact that I can't! Grr again. Apologies for ranting. If anyone has a guaranteed way of feeling psi, feel free to share it with me!

Relax, breathe. Don't beg for psi to come. Keep yourself open and ask for a litle stream of psi to come through you.

I'll try that one. Just not feeling particularly relaxed this week. I get ratty when I'm not very well. I know it's out there. It's just a case of tuning into it. Ta for helping to cheer me up!

Still not much luck on the feeling psi. I'm pretty sure that I'm managing to see the beginnings of auras though. Just on my hands, and just a white fuzziness, but it's a start.

I still can't feel psi most of the time, let alone when I want to. Let alone direct it anywhere to the point where I could create a psi-ball. However, some spiritual exercises I've been doing have been going well - so maybe there's a pay-off somewhere. Ho-hum Nothing much to do except keep trying on a regular basis (I haven't for a couple of days, so maybe the rest will do me good). Auras are simply a vague fizziness rather than anything more defined. But I did a visualisation exercise yesterday, and ended up somewhere I wasn't expecting. I ended up at a pyramid (big one, made of white crystal). I went inside and went to the Reception desk, said my name, and was told to go into the Waiting Room, which was a massively well-lit Hall, full of light and people and columns. Then a short man came up to me, called me by name, and said that there had been some mistake, and that I was early - I wasn't supposed to be there yet and would have to come back another time. So I left. Weird! But interesting.

i fell your pain, in a sense, i feel something but am not sure if its psi i have felt......but back to the point, i think you should check out psipog.net in the features it has an ebook called "an overveiw of psionics" it has manipulation exercises and philosophy and such it also has something to do if you genuinely cant feel anything that might help you. good luck!
